the next day, tyler, josh, and I had just finished unpacking the rest of my boxes in my apartment. josh had been sprawled about across the floor, while i sat on one side of the couch with my feet across tyler's lap on the opposite side of the couch. we all sat in a comfortable silence, until a loud, obnoxious ringing sounded from the floor, specifically from josh. he groaned and pulled it out of his sweatshirt pocket before holding it up to his ear.

"hey brooke, what's up? i told you i was with tyler today," josh said casually, but he had a grimace on his face as he rolled his eyes. i gave tyler a confused look when i heard the name 'brooke'. he held up a finger, telling me to hold on. i looked back at josh, and he had his head tilted back as his eyes were closed out of annoyance.

"ok, ok, i'll be there in ten," he said before quickly ending the call and slipping on his shoes. i rose an eyebrow as i watched his mumble curse words under his breath.

"josh, is everything alright?" i asked him. he shot his head up after he finished tying his shoe. he stood up and walked to the door, swinging it open. "just peachy!" he yelled before he slammed the door behind him, causing me to flinch. i felt a ahnd on my back, and i turned to tyler.

"raegan, just don't take it personally, brooke just puts him in his bad moods..." tyler said as he rubbed circles on my back. i blinked away the tears that i didn't even know had formed and looked down.

"I've just never seen him like that...i don't like it," i said, exhaling a large breath. "who even is brooke?" i groaned. tyler dryly chuckled.

"brooke is josh's girlfriend," he said, leaning back onto the couch. my eyes widened and i stood up.

"girlfriend?!" i exclaimed. tyler stood up and put his hands on my shoulders.

"raegan, it's really not that big of a deal! just calm down," i shoved his hands off of me and paced back and fourth throughout the room.

" okay, get this through your head. just because i know you personally now, doesn't mean i don't still majorly fangirl over you guys! whenever fangirls find out that a band member gets a girlfriend, they are either sad or mad because they wish it was them, happy for them, or want to protect them. and now that i know how that son of a bitch brooke makes josh feel, i just want to protect him and make sure she's treating him right. but i already know she isn't and i just don't know how to fee-"

"raegan!" tyler shouted causing me to stop my ranting. "i told you it's not that big of a deal. brooke was probably drunk or something, because that's the only time he ever gets that way after talking to her. so really, just calm down," he said.

i let out a dramatic sigh before speaking again. "ok,"
