"no fucking way..." i said in complete utter shock.
the man in front of me was familiar.
only because it was fucking tyler joseph.
tyler fucking jospeh.
i stared at the man in front of me, trying to say something but nothing but silence came out.
"uh, hi. i'm tyler..." he said awkwardly, holding out his hand. i ignored it and threw my arms around his neck.
"i know..." i whispered, my voice shaking. i pulled away and he looked a bit taken back by my actions. "i-i'm sorry, i shouldn't have hugged you like that, i just...i've wanted to meet you for the longest time, and it's finally happening," i said quietly, blinking back a few tears.
"oh, no worries, it happens all the time," he grinned at me. i just smiled back and stared at him. he gave me a look and it took me a moment to realize what he was waiting for.
"oh! oh, i'm sorry! i'm reagen," i said as i held out my hand. he gladly shook it.
"well reagen, it's lovely to meet you," he smiled and took his hand back. i wiped my sweaty hands on my jeans and pulled the door open and walked out, tyler hot on my heels. "so where are ya headed?" he asked.
"some coffee shop i read about online, i'be been unboxing for a few hours now, and i'm in deep need of a latte," i groaned. tyler scoffed.
"that's actually where i was headed, i'm meeting josh," he said, shoving his hands in his pockets. i gasped and looked at him.
"wait, so i can meet josh too?!" i said in surprise. tyler narrowed his eyes at me.
"is meeting me not enough for you for one day?" tyler scoffed again. i looked at him quickly.
"no! no, no, no...i didn't mean it like that it's just that it would be-"
"reagen, it's ok. i know what you meant," he chuckled. i silently took a sigh of relief. i looked straight ahead and saw the coffee shop across the street. "well, are you ready to meet joshua dun?" tyler said with a cheesy grin on his face. i clapped my hands together excitedly and took off sprinting across the street, looking both ways of course.
tyler caught up to me, and i stopped at the door to take a deep breath. tyler patted my back before casually waking in, me hot on his heels. i looked across the room and spotted an all too familiar set of blue hair sitting alone in a booth with earbuds in each ear. tyler smiled over his shoulder and slid into the other side of the booth. josh didn't even notice. tyler grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the booth next to him. i winced a little, but not enough for him to notice.
josh looked up from his phone and smiled at tyler, but looked a bit taken back by me. probably because i'm a stranger, or because i'm ugly....
"who's this tyler?" josh asked as he smiled at me. god, his voice sounded even more perfect in person, along with tyler's. i stared back at him in awe.
"oh, this is reagen, we kinda bumped into each other as we were both leaving the apartment building, she's pretty cool from what i've gathered," tyler said, shooting me another grin. this gave me butterflies, hearing one of my idols saying that about me.
"well, reagen, its very nice to meet you," josh said, holding out his hand for me to shake. i gladly shook his hand before excusing myself to go order my drink.
"do you want me to order yours too?" i asked my two biggest idols. they looked at each other before shrugging and nodding their heads. "ok, what do you want?"
"i'll have a white chocolate mocha," they said in unison. they glared at each other. i just chuckled before walking up to the counter.
"hi, how may i help you?" a small beautiful girl who's name tag read the name 'sarah' said with a big smile on her face. she seemed sweet, but i guess that smile could be a cover up since she's at her job. i guess i'll never know.
"yeah, i'll take two white chocolate mochas and one vanilla latte please..." i smiled back as she typed something into the cash register.
"that'll be 4.58," she grinned again. i handed her a five and she gave me back my change along with my receipt. "they'll be right up," she said before walking off to make the drinks.
i looked at the baked goods while i waited, and when sarah put the three drinks on the counter, i called tyler over to help.
"hey, uh, tyler? can you maybe come help me carry these?" i called. tyler stood up and walked over, grabbing his and josh's drink, we walked back to our table, and took our seats. and the three of us spent the next couple hours just chatting.
today has been the best day ever...
