Chapter 42 - Finally

ELSA

"Ma'am Brooklyn!" I exclaimed as I rush towards her. "Happy birthday." I said and hugged her, she kissed my cheeks and she smiled warmly at me.

"Is this our Queen?" Said she, I nodded and smiled at her sweetly. "You looked lovely tonight, dear. Where's your date?" She said which made me startled.

"I uh, haha. I don't-" I was cut off when someone spoke.

"I'm sorry I'm late." I looked up at that someone and saw Jack smiling at Mrs. Brooklyn.

Mrs. Brooklyn clapped her hands. "You looked handsome as ever, Jack!"

"Thank you, Mrs. Happy birthday!" Said Jack and hugged her. "Can I borrow Elsa for a second?" He said which made me surprised.

"N-" I was about to protest when Mrs. Brooklyn spoke.

"Of course, Jack. She's your date after all." She said and walked away, greeting her other guests.

There was an awkward silence between the both of us and none of us dare to speak, I looked at him and he's kinda familiar. I've seen him before, I think?

I crossed my arms in front of my chest and looked away, "What are you doing?" I asked and he looked at me nervously. Why is he nervous anyway?

"Could I talk to you alone?" He said which made me snarl.

I looked at him with disgust, "You're already talking to me." I said as a matter of fact tone and rolled my eyes. Here we go again Elsa, soon you'll collapse here in Mrs. Brooklyn's party.

"I mean, alone." He said and put his hands on the nape of his neck, "Just the two of us."

I looked at him with my brow raised, "What are you planning to do?" I asked, suspiciously.

"I just want to talk." He said and smiled nervously. Uh, he's cute. No stop it, Elsa. Don't be a fool again.

What is he up to anyway? Why is he being with me all of a sudden?

You must say yes to him if you want to find out. Inner me says

"Okay," I said and rolled my eyes.

I mean really, I must stop rolling my eyes too much I feel like I'm kinda dizzy right now.

His eyes brightened up when I said okay, he offered his arms anxiously to me and I looked at it as if I am saying dude-what-are-you-doing-are-you-okay-or-what look.

Much to my surprise, I clung in his arms as if my body has its own mind and started walking. What am I doing?

The students looked at us in awe. I blushed because of embarrassment.

"You looked beautiful." Jack said in a serious tone, I looked up to him and he made me blush even more.

"I think you have a doppelganger." I suddenly said and I abruptly covered my mouth using my hand.

He chuckled, what an adorable chuckle he has. "What makes you think that?" He said and grinned.

"It's like I've seen you thirty minutes ago." I replied and scanned the area, looking for that someone.

"That's because you didn't recognize me a while ago." He smirked and I looked at him, shocked.

"So you're the one who's blocking our way huh." I said and smirked at him back. "You were so mesmerized by my beauty so you just stared at me." I said full of confidence.
