I couldn't find anything to give to my mom and all I could think about was the beautiful yet expensive necklace. Christmas was only two weeks away. I wouldn't have that much time to earn the money. I sighed thinking and feeling I had failed as a daughter for not getting something my mother would absolutely love. Then I had a thought. What if I made the perfect necklace for her!? I sat in the food courts and googled how to make one. I'd need a chain and a charm of my choosing and a gem. That was the hard part. I walked around the mall in search of the cheapest (in price) items they had. I found the perfect chain and saw a charm similar to the flower that I love so much. All I needed now was the gem. Where can I get a cheap gem?

Out in the small, yet seemingly far, distance was something shimmering on the ground. I delicately lift it and examine the shining object. It was a gem. It seemed to be made out of some sort of glistening blue diamond. I had immediately fallen in love with it. Then I wondered if anyone had dropped it or if it had come from one of the stores. I look at the diamond once again and found myself putting it in my pocket.

I had went home to get started on putting the necklace together. It was a bit difficult and I honestly had no clue as to what I was doing. Eventually I figured it out (thanks Google!). I let it sit to dry on my dresser and spent most of the night reading fan fiction. This time I cried instead of fan-girled. I hated the story so much that I loved it. When I checked the time, I saw that it was 2 am. I turned off my pone and got into some p.j's then I quickly brushed my teeth before going to bed. The mall adventure and tears really tired me out because as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

Wednesday morning came and I started to feel sick. My nose was runny and stuffy at the same time and I was coughing a lot. I stood in bed feeling too weak to get up. My mom soon came in and asked why I wasn't getting up and I told her I felt sick. My mom took a good look and saw I wasn't lying. She let me stay home and sleep in a bit longer before she'd make me eat a nice hot soup. I thanked her and tried my very hardest to go back to sleep, but I just couldn't. My thoughts turned to my imaginary friend. I looked the drawing of him I had once drew and smiled. Very few memories of me and him having fun in the snow came filling my head. Then the sound of ice crackling brought me out of my thoughts. I looked over at my window and saw it covered in frost and ice. Then an image of a snowflake was drawn on the window. I gasped and felt a little freaked out. I was going to call out for my mom, but then stopped when I put two in two together.

"Ok. I must be losing my mind for believing that you are real, but Jack, are you there?" There was no response. I sighed and shook my head.

"Oh come on! How many times do I have to try to make you believe?" I jumped up and gasped. I saw a teenage boy with snow white hair and a blue hoodie standing by the window. I took deep breathes before I screamed. "Wait, can you see me? You can see me?!"

"Mom!!!" I called out. The teen in my room started shushing me and flew to me. Yup, he flew towards me. "Who are you and how did you get in my room?!"

"It's me, Evelyn. It's Jack." I heard footsteps coming closer and prayed my mom had some sort of weapon with her. Finally she came in and asked what was wrong. I pointed at the teen and she didn't see him. He stood right next to her and she didn't see him at all. She told me that it was my sick brain playing tricks on me and that I should eat something before I go insane. She left the room to make me that soup she promised. When she was gone, I turned to the boy and asked why she couldn't see him. He explained that only those who believe in him could see him.

"I-if you really are who you say you are, then tell me something that only he and I would know."

"Well, let's see... Oh! Do you remember that time when we went ice skating and you kept falling on your butt?"

"Hey, that's not my fault! I was only 4 and I don't have a lot of balance." This is my supposed imaginary friend. I look at the picture I had drawn and realized that this wasn't a dream or my mind playing tricks on me. "Jack! I'm really sorry for not keeping my promise, it's just that you were away for so long that I..." I pause and realized that he never gave me an explanation as to why he left, "You son of a- Why did you leave? And why did you not come back until now?"

"Look I can explain everything. First I want to play... Like old times."

"Jack, I'm sick. I'm not supposed to go out into the snow."

"Who says you're going out there?" Jack smirked and then used his powers to make it snow... IN MY ROOM! The white soft fluffs of snow were everywhere. In less than 10 minutes, the snow was ankle deep. I gasped and looked around my white wonderland of a room as I wrapped myself in my blanket. The snow on the ground seemed to be shining. The white powder sparkled like the brightest diamond in the world. I sat up on my bed and was in awe. Never in my life had I seen anything more beautiful. And this beautiful site was in my room.

My thoughts were knocked out of my head when a white cold snowball hit my shoulder and almost sent me to the ground. I smiled at the teenage boy and threw a snowball at him. I got him as he was laughing. Now it was my turn to laugh. We threw snowballs at each other for a good 5 minutes before my mom started calling me for soup. If I wasn't able to get out of bed, she'd bring it up. Not wanting her to see the snow in my room, I went down. I told Jack that I'd be right back. He whined playfully and asked me to stay.

"Jack, if she sees the snow in my room, Mom will freak!"

"Fine, fine." I went to sit at the table. Floating behind me the whole time was Jack. I sneezed as I sat down. "Eat up." My mom said. The soup was warm. If I could smell, I bet it'd smell really good. The soup was filled with beef chunks, steamed carrots, and potatoes. The soup tasted amazing! I could feel its warmth spreading throughout my body. My sinuses opened up a little and I could feel myself getting better. But that would change the moment I stepped back in my room.
