~~~Shadow's POV~~~
She walked past me with predatory ease. Her long fluffy tail brushed against me while I held the door open for her. It was beautiful and full after that needed shower. Once she had gotten inside I was right behind her.
That door closed faster than I thought it would.  THWACK!  I bit back my scream even as a solemn tear dripped down my cheek. It all happened in slow motion. The beautiful wolf turned around frightened, as I fell to the floor holding my tail. I landed with a thud and the burst of laughter from that wolf.
"THAT'S NOT FUNNY!!" I screeched out "A TAIL IS A PRECIOUS SENSITIVE THING!" I looked at her tail behind her and she covered it. "I mean just look at yours" I added with a wink.  She held out her hand and helped me up. She plopped into her chair and I carefully sat, not wanting to injure my prized possession anymore.
"Welcome to Waffle House" an old raven spat. Half her feathers were ruffled and she had a rude scowl, "What the hell do you want, fluff butt?" She flipped out her note pad and peered at us.
~~~ Storm's POV ~~~

God that was hilarious!  Every time I look at him, I'm about to choke on laughter!  Ew... What's this old crow looking at? Bitch get out of here.

"Um yeah, I'll take a grilled bacon and cheese sandwich off the $5 menu as a combo with hash browns scattered well and without disgusting feathers in it." I put on a smile that drove even the most patient insane, "And a nice glass of water."

She wrote it all down on her notepad and turned to Shadow. I didn't care about what he had ordered. Not my food. She called out the order in a scratchy throat and I watched her for a second. Only to turn back and see Shadow staring at me.

"W- What the hell man?!" I screamed in a whisper. He just kept staring so I turned away and kept looking at the food they were cooking. He cleared his throat and touched my arm. I whipped my head at him and waited for his response.
