~~~ Aaron's POV~~~
"Sir, the troop led by Thornton's son has all been killed, our scouts have just reported so." The man's voice sent shudders down my spine. The alpha sat next to me, his face unreadable. One of my younger friends was in that group. He wasn't yet allowed a name until his first scouting trip, and now he's dead...
"Well, I would guess they need to be cleaned up. I have no need for bones in my territory unless they are used for toothpicks," the Alpha huffed a laugh and looked down at me and frowned. My bowels turned watery at the sight. This may be too much to handle. The Alpha continued, "Be it the work of the rouge, send more scouts and capture her, I'll send my new protege to be sure its her and kill her." His smile made me quiver, this is definitely way more than I can handle.
"You're dismissed," my voice rang in my ears. The scout scuttled off like a rat. It was my place to begin instilling fear among these wolves. Not very hard considering it was all a part of my plan. I know exactly who killed my mother. These cruel bastards here, I know I have to rid of them all for my mum to be avenged.
I miss her so much. Its been so long since I've stopped and thought about her. Being around the pack doesn't help much, neither does the fact that the Alpha has the same color hair as Mum. I frowned. I remember how Mum used to tell me stories of her past. How she used to be the strongest wolf, and that's why grandpa hated her. She used to tell me "One day, we'll visit Grandpa and show him how wonderful my family is and make him wish for me to come back home." I noticed the Alpha's stare and straightened up.
He chuckled and said with a smile, " Aaron, my boy! Why the gloomy face? Now is your chance to kick some ass and show everyone here that you're actually worthy of being at my side," He looked down at his folded hands in his lap, "You know, it would have been much easier killing my daughters at a young age. I've grown quite attached to them, at least one is gone," He looked up and his eyes pinned me to the spot. "I wish I had a charming young lad such as yourself!" There was a sort of wickedness clouding his eyes. I knew he needed to die soon. When the leader is gone, the pack is put in utter chaos.
~~~ Storm's POV ~~~
The keep loomed in the distance, my leg undoubtedly in shreds thanks to that stupid knife. Ash is laying in the leaves, blood mingling in the black mud. A suiting death for that bastard. His entire family is rotten apparently. So my entire journey of about 2 months, I'm at the keep, I'm in the woods, I'm with Shadow for a few days, I'm back in the woods, and here I am. Fighting to get back into the very place that tore me apart. All because some cute FOX that just had to be perfect and sweet and caring and funny and... Gods... I can't like him... can I?
I laughed at myself, thinking about these girlish things when there is a true task ahead. I need to save Aaron, kill my father, and destroy each and every one of those bastards on his side. I'm doing this for Aaron and Shadow and myself. This pack will burn, and I'm gonna hold the match.
