~~~Shadow's POV~~~
My car was floored. The small sedan was moving past every car on the sad road cutting the PineWood forest. The only thing that was on my mind was Storm. Her sweet minty scent fading away from my nose. Not even my own family had such a sweet and alluring scent. As if I were drawn to her, I sped faster and faster.
Needing her... everything.
I shook the thought out of my head. No no no, we... she cant... shit. And here I was thinking mates are merely a legend. "FUCK!!" I swerved off of the road and strait into a tall pinetree. Pinecones hit my car and a ton of Pine straw came crumbling down. I was sure the airbag had broken something. My dignity most likely.
I crawled out of the car and hit the floor face first.
I awoke to darkness. I honestly thought I had died for second. I looked up and I saw that I was surrounded by stars with the giant moon above my head.
Finally, I had gotten the strength to even get up, I was alone and I had no bars on my phone. My car was totalled and I had nothing to do because Storm was gone, her scent gone
Everything... gone.
I wanted to cry, I lost my son, my wife, my new beautiful friend, and my own will to do anything. I popped the trunk of my car and grabbed a long rope and a cement block.
~~~Storm's POV~~~
Sometimes, I felt like I was having deja vu. I could remember my past lover, Ash. A beautiful strongly built white wolf. Worthy of being Alpha if it weren't for his heritage. His eyes were a bright red and I fell in love with him the moment I saw him.
I remember him taking me by the hand and leading to this part of the forest. He was my first, I could remember the breath we shared when he first came upon me. The sweet nothings he spoke into my ear before he even kissed me.
I still remember his hard body above me as we made love. I ran, I couldn't think about the good times. I want to go back, my only home. My father that showed me the ropes... "NO!" I snarled and birds flew up around my head.
I ran and ran to my old territory. The sweat sliding off of my brow. My knees buckled after 5 hours of nothing but running. My legs were cramping and I fell to the ground. I slept for what felt like days. The sun burned my eyes and I was blinded for a second.
A hard hand was on my neck and I made out a large wolf above me. They put their ear to my muzzle to check for breathing, I opened my eyes a little more and the beautiful male was frightened.
"Storm?! Oh god... I'll hide you somewhere and we'll be okay."
It sounded like Dodo, one of my childhood friends. He had lifted me over his shoulders and took me to a hollowed out tree. A small sliver of sunlight was on my face, I looked to the Wolf that possibly saved my life. A canteen of water was next to me along with a bundle of berries.
I sat up and began eating viciously. I didn't notice the wide eyed early teen in front of me. I wiped my mouth and my hand was covered in blue jam. "Sorry, I'm here to get something very important to a friend of mine. A boy."
"You are Storm, right? The true Alpha? I've been searching for you. Your father misses you and is very sick. I will be punished for finding you though. I'm Ash's son. I'll leave my mother to your imagination."
My heart stopped." So, you arnt Dodo? God, I thought you were. Do you know him?"
"Know him?!" He chuckled, " He was murdered after you were banished because he tried to fight for you."
I didn't have time to worry about it. "Take me out of here, kid. Take me to my home"
"The name is Samuel, soon to be Alpha if you are not returned. I'm kidding you. This new child named Aaron is supposed to kill you in order to be Alpha. Follow me, Storm." He walked away from me and I wanted to slap him and hug him. I follow after that slim figure, he really is Ash's son.
