Chapter Nine

"You thought I didn't want to see my baby girl give birth to her baby girl? I thought me showing up would be a better feel since her mom couldn't be here", Eric covered.

Cari felt relieved. Eric played everything smooth.

"Hey E", Cari smiled.

"Hey Car, hey baby girl", he said looking at Majesty, "Can I hold her?"

"No, her mother needs to hold her and bond with her!" Maverick said mugging.

Eric just looked at him but didn't react to his comment.

"I brought some clothes and diapers and stuff for the baby. It's all down in my car", Eric smiled.

"Thank you so-", Cari started to say.

"Why you doin' all this dude? Why you come in here like you been here all this time?" Maverick asked. He was getting really upset but Cari wanted him to calm down because she knew if he snapped to many times at Eric, Eric might got off.

"Because I watched Carmani become such a beautiful individual and I wanted to be here for her. Vanessa would want me to be here for her", Eric stated.

"Maverick just chill", Cari said trying to calm Maverick down.

"Whatever, I'm going home so that I can take a shower and get some sleep, I'll be back tomorrow", Maverick lied. He walked out of the room without even looking at Majesty.

Cari called after him but he kept walking and she couldn't get up and chase after him.

"How did you know E?" Cari said with tears in her eyes.

"What happened to Emani, Carmani? Eric asked.

"I liked Majesty better", Cari admitted.

"To name her after Mason or Maverick?" Eric starred at her hard, almost like he wanted to take her soul.

"Neither E, it's my baby!" Cari snapped.

"It's our baby Cari! We did that!" Eric snapped back.

"You don't know that! She could be Mason's baby!" Cari yelled.

"Ok so when are we going to do the DNA test?" Eric asked.

"I don't want to signing the birth certificate", Cari admitted.

"I know you don't, you want Maverick to, I just need to know if this is my baby, because I'm not taking care of another mans child", Eric said looking at Majesty and walking out of the room.

Everything was becoming overwhelming, Cari began to cry. She looked at Majesty and just cried.

"I can't believe you came out of me", she said looking at Majesty.

Maverick headed over to Monica's house without even stopping at home like he said he was.

When he got there, he called Monica to come outside. She had a bag and looked like she just climbed out of bed.

"Wassup Rollie", Mav said as Monica got in the car.

"Hey Pooh", Monica smiled.

Maverick and Monica just drove around and talked.

Monica never told Maverick anything she knew about Cari and her baby daddy situation and Maverick never asked but Maverick did talk to Monica about Cari. He would tell her how he was tired of her and how he didn't want to raise her baby, but obviously his actions showed different because he went all out for baby Majesty.

"She had her", Maverick said.

"Aww, happy for her. What did she name her?" Monica asked.

"Majesty, then her bitch ass step-dad came in there and he talking about he just want to be there for her", Maverick said still mad about it.
