Y/N had gotten dressed, well dressed appropriately for John. She had an old shirt on, and a pair of jeans. John had seen her in worse items of clothing, so this wasn't gonna bother him.

She walked down the stairs and unlocked the door ready for John. She wasn't fazed by Moriarty's surprise appearance, so she nearly forgot about it.

She walked into the kitchen and put the kettle on, she then went to her cupboard and took out two China tea cups, with matching saucers. She then bent down to another cupboard and picked out the matching tea pot. She also pulled out a sugar bowl and a milk jug. She placed it all on a tray and threw on some biscuits.

She waited until she heard the kettle click, then she took some tea leaves and placed it in the pot. She then poured the water in there and gave it a little stir.

She then took the tray and placed it on a little table in the window. This was where she and John would always sit when they met at her house.

This was almost a natural thing to do, she was so used to doing this, that she usually didn't notice adding biscuits, or extra sugar.

She heard the door open and John shouted his usual:

"It's me!"

He then took his shoes off and hung up his coat. He gave his hair a little ruffle before he walked through to the kitchen and sat at the little table. This was by the window, there was a larger table on the other side of the kitchen. There was an island in the middle of the room, with some stools.

He poured the tea and added the milk, and sugar. He then stirred it and then tapped the spoon on the side. He pushed one cup towards the other seat and pulled the other towards him.

Y/N then sat down and crossed her legs. She smiled at John as she noticed something.

He was no longer a mustache man.

"Oh John!" She exclaimed.

"What?" John asked. He sounded harassed.

"Mustache?"

"It came off."

"I'm guessing it didn't come off like a sticker, you shaved it off?"

"Yes." He replied quickly and quietly.

"You shaved for Sherlock!"

"Don't you start too! I've already had Mary on about it."

"Aw, John." She smiled.

"What's the topic of today?" John changed the subject of the conversation.

"I don't mind." She replied.

"Well, I heard that Sebastian Moran has made quite the name for himself."

"Sebastian Moran?" She asked.

"Yea, the new business bloke."

"Oh, yea I know the one."

"Well, everyone seems to love him."

"He's quite dashing isn't he!" She replied.

"Mary seems to think the same."

"And you don't?"

"Don't you start!" He replied harshly.

"Sorry." She smiled.

"So we seem to think Moran had ties with Moriarty when he was alive right?"

"Yea, rumor had it that Moran was some what of a body guard. The muscle, one might say." She knew that Moran was in fact Moriarty's right hand man.

"And now, out of the gutter, rises a brilliant business man."

"He was never in the gutter, he and Jim were close."

"Well, I think he's less than innocent."

"Even without Sherlock, we're still suspicious of everyone."

"It's a side affect of the Sherlock pit."

"Oh, definitely." She smiled. She took a sip of her tea and then placed it back down. "So, how is Mary?"

"She's great." He replied. He took a biscuit and took a bite.

"Good." She replied.

"And how are you?" John asked.

"Oh, I'm good." She answered.

They could both tell things had gotten awkward, but they weren't sure why.

"Why does this feel awkward?" John asked.

"I have no idea, but it feels so odd."

"Maybe because Sherlock isn't dead." John replied quickly.

"It's funny how we both wanted him to be alive, but now he is. We don't want to get involved."

"It's not like we can just drop everything and go running back to Baker Street. We have other jobs, we have friends and family, partners."

"You forget how live was like. Just solving crimes, it always came in waves didn't it."

"We'd go months with no cases, then all of a sudden everyone would have a case to solve."

"We didn't have solid jobs back then though."

"You didn't have one at all did you?" John asked.

"No, I didn't. I just worked on the cases. I had a very part time job in the café downstairs though."

"I remember." John smiled as he thought back to the days.

Y/N sat and thought whether she should tell John about Moriarty's visit, but she thought she wouldn't.

"Do you wanna-"

"Go see if we can find Sebastian Moran?" John cut her off.

"Yes!" She replied. She got out her chair and said "I'll go and change."
