Beast Boy x Reader

Chapter 11

You wake up in the titans make shift hospital.

"What's going on?" You mumble.

You see the side of Robins head facing forward.

"You don't remember?" Robin turns his head to face you.

"No." You reply.

"Last night you went outside, you came face to face with Slade. He nearly killed you." Robin answers. "I don't know why, but he wants your powers."

Cyborg turns around with a clipboard in his hands. "He knocked you out. Star found you passed out outside of the tower this morning."

"How do we know it's Slade? Why didn't he just take me? Why don't I remember?" You ask.

"Slade always leaves us clues. He carved a small S into your arm. And I'm not sure. He's definitely up to something though." Robin says.

"I'll be back, I'm going to go tell the rest of the team you're awake, (Y/N). Everyone has been worried." Cyborg says and then makes his way upstairs.

"Should I be scared?" You ask, while pulling your sleeve up to look at your arm.

"No. We've dealt with Slade a
million times. I'll take care of him if it comes down to it." Robin reassures you.

"Why my powers? I can only run fast. Raven or Starfire or even Beast Boy would be a much better choice." Your stomach sank after saying that. You start to fear maybe it's not just you and maybe the entire team is vulnerable. You fear you were just the first one caught alone.

By now the rest of the team made their way downstairs.

"Oh, (Y/N)! I'm so happy you are unharmed!" Starfire flies over your bed and hugs you.

You flinch, realizing your chest is covered in bruises from being hit.

"Yea glad you're alright." Raven says.

Beast Boy walks up to you and stands beside your bed. He looks at you, cloudy eyes, and then looks up to Robin.

Out of your peripheral vision you see Robin nod his head.

You look back to Beast Boy who leans in fast and kisses you.

"Beasties got a girlfriend??" Cyborg teases.

"Why did you not tell us about the romantic attraction between you two!?" Starfire asks, energetically.

Beast Boy pulls back from kissing you.

"I, uh, well we all know what happened last time I had a girlfriend, she tried to kill us." Beast Boy nervously laughs.

You prop yourself onto your elbows. "So what should we do next?" You interrupt.

"I'm not sure." Raven says.

"We will stay low, act normal. He can come to us but we will be ready." Robin says.

"Okay." Beast Boy agrees.

"Alright." You say and try to swing your legs over the edge of the bed.

"Careful. You might feel some pain you were hit pretty hard, there's a lot of bruising." Cyborg warns you.

Starfire makes her way to you and lets you wrap an arm around her neck to help you stand.

"Okay well it's pretty late and I'm getting tired, I'm gonna head to bed. Night guys." Raven says and starts up the stairs.

"Yea same here, if you're alright with it Robin." Cyborg says.

"No problem." Robin nods and Cyborg heads up the stairs.

"Goodnight friends!" Stature exclaims. "I hope you feel better by morning,
(Y/N)." Starfire smiles and flies upstairs following Cyborg.

You are standing beside Beast Boy but lose your footing and grab his shoulder.

"I'll leave you two alone." Robin says and walks upstairs. "Shout if you need me."

Beast Boy watched Robin completely leave before saying a word to you.

"I can tell you're weak, here let's sit down okay." Beast Boy ushers you back to the hospital bed.

You both sit with your legs hanging off the edge.

"You know you really scared me this morning..." Beast Boy starts.

Your heart sinks. You lightly scratch at the S carved into your forearm.

"I can't even remember." You say.

"My thought is he found a way to erase your short term memory. I don't know. I'm just glad you're okay." Beast Boy hugs you.

"Me too. Can I sleep now I'm exhausted?" You ask and lay down.

"Yea, same here but I'm staying with you tonight. Someone needs to protect you." Beast Boy kind of laughs and lays down on the other side of the bed, and wraps his arm around your waist.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."
