“Woah Pop, that’s a little harsh,” said Rose shocked,
“Well she is a bitch,” replied Poppy. I looked at my watch. 11:55 am, it read,
“Girls, it’s eleven-fifty five, we should get to the canteen for lunch,” I said and both the girls nodded.
When we got to the canteen we collected our lunch (pizza, yay) and found a small table to sit down at. When we had finished eating Skye and four other people came out and stood on the small stage in the cafeteria,
“Hello boys and girls. Welcome to Musical Theatre Camp,” announced Skye. Everyone started clapping so I copied,
“For those of you who don’t know, I am Skye, the camp captain and these are your camp leaders this year, Britney, Kaylee, Will and John,” all four camp leaders waved,
“Okay, this year we will be doing things a bit differently from past years,” Skye started, “Instead of picking your groups for the activities prior to the final performance, you will be in groups with people in your cabins.” At first I was thinking ‘Yes! Poppy, Rose and I will make a great team.’ But then my mind flicked over, and I remembered about the other girl in our cabin. Angelica. Crap. I turned to Rose and Poppy who were both shaking their heads in disgust. Then Skye began to talk again,
“This will mean groups will be boys with boys and girls with girls. This is the first time we have tried this so we’re not sure if it’ll work out but please try your best.” Everyone started talking. I turned to the girls again,
“Oh my God!” Poppy exclaimed, “They expect us to work with that idiot. How. How can anyone work with her? She’s just gonna be going on and on about this boyfriend and that boyfriend. This party and that party. Oh my God! This is the year they decide to change up the rules, ha, well, you know what,”
“What?” Rose and I said at the same time,
“I don’t know what,” Poppy said shyly.
The camp leaders let us talk for a while. But when our time was up Skye was ready for action,
“All right everyone settle down.” But no one was bothered to listen so Skye pulled out the big guns. She whistled. Yeah I know, doesn’t sound like much but this whistle was different. It was so ear piercing that when she was done everyone had their ears covered,
“All right! I’m going to allow ten minutes for you to be acquainted with your teammates. When you’re done I’d like you to come to the practice hall and we will be waiting for you.” Everyone started to get up to find their roommates. Every that was except for us and one other person. Rose was the first to spot her,
“Hey girls, there’s Angelica.” We all started to get up and go over to her when Rose pulled us back,
“Girls, be nice,”
“Hey, I am nice!” Exclaimed Poppy,
“Yeah, but you’re the one who called her a bitch,” I reminded Poppy,
“Yeah, yeah,” replied Poppy and continued to walk over to Angelica,
“Hi Angel,” Poppy said nicely. Angelica’s head shot up,
“Only my friends are allowed to call me Angel,”
“So I’m not your friend?” Poppy asked,
“No dimwit,” retorted Angelica,
“Oi, don’t talk to my sister like that!” Exclaimed Rose,
“Ah, my favourite little twins dumb and dumber,” said Angelica,
“They don’t talk to you like that, so why should you talk them like that,” I said,
“Ah, who’s this? Your new bestie?” Asked Angelica,
“Yes, she is part of our team and so are you, so get up,” said Rose as she began to walk out,
“No!”
