So, this train ride is going to be a long one. I called an old friend who's letting me stay with her. Her name is Sara Evans. Okay were not really friends, but she used to be at the same home with me before she got adopted at 13, that was four years ago. We went through similar issues, so we got along fine. We understood each other, but didn't talk much. We were always there for each other. Sara is a kind girl who always had a passion for painting. But after her mom committed, the only thing she would use for paint was blood and tears.
I finally hear the train arrive at my stop. i get off to see Sara and her folks waiting for me. She runs up to me and hugs me tight. I can still see the scars on her arms, but they look faded.
"8 months clean" she whispers in my ear. I just smile and nod, but I'm proud of her. She knows that.
We get to the car and head off to there house. Gosh, Cali is so pretty at night. People are walking around, some look like their having a good time. People are running around with Camera's. I know who some of them are, but i just sit in the backseat and admire there smiles. They wouldn't want to meet me.
We arrive at the house, and Sara show's me we're ill be staying. In her room, bottom bunk. I unpack my stuff and sit down, Hiding my journal. Sara, sits down next to me. Silence is the only thing there. She's starring at my arms.
"How new?" she asks
"Yesterday." i say blankly.
Sara sighs and leaves the room. When she comes back, she's holding a pamphlet of L.A. attractions in her hand.
"What's this for?" I questioned.
"Tommorow. You and I are having a Girls day. After all you just got here, and it would be rude of me not to show you around." She winks and runs off into the kitchen, she comes back with snacks, movies, and a big smile on her face. We sit on the floor and watch movies all night until we fall asleep.
