Two... And a Half

Lin's pov:

  I walked into Pippa's apartment knowing she wasn't okay. She had just bought this place last week after being kicked out by her fiance. "Pippa?" I call out, no response. I walk into the small living room. She laying on track couch, her cheeks are tear stained. I lift her up gently onto my chest. "Pip" I say, her eyes open and look up at me. "Linnnnnnny" she says, her breath reeks of alcohol. "Pip, how much wine have you had?" I ask, she giggles and smiles. "2" she says. "Glasses?" I question. "Bottles silly!" She says playfully slapping my chest. "You did not have two whole bottles of wine" I said, she barely liked to drink at all. "Fine Two and a half" she says, she puts her head in the crook of my neck.

   "I'm sleepy" she says, I kiss her head and lace her hand with mine. I know she won't remember thus tomorrow so I tolerate her. "The cm on let's get you to bed" he says, I stand up and she fell onto the couch. "Carry me please" she begged, I lifted her up bridal style and carried her into her room. I laid her down gently, tucked sheets around her. I kissed her head. "Sleep well honey" I said, she smiled. "I knew you cared" she said, I turned back to her. "Pippa?" I ask. She sat up and looked at me. "I've barely had half a glass at most" she said patting the spot beside her. I crawled over and threw a arm around her.

   "Why?" I ask, she smiles and me. "I wanted to know if you cared, I felt like no one did" she said, I sighed and pulled her head into my neck. "I will always care, always" i say and kiss her head.
