You awoke cold and confused, trying to remember what happened and how you got to where you were now. In fact, where is now? You looked at your surroundings, seeing nothing but blackness and ruin.
"(Y/n) is your name, isn't it." You heard a deep sounding voice behind you. You craned your neck to get a look, but you quickly realized you were restrained by thick rope to a chair.
"So?" You replied with a snarl.
"Very ill mannered, I see. You are uh, close to Stephen, aren't you? Just what the world needs, another filthy sorcerer." He placed himself in front of you, and you finally got a good look at him. He was a tall black man, his lips full and tired eyes. He had dark eyes, which made the whites more prominent. He was fairly attractive, but after being with Dr. Strange, there was no way anyone could top that.
"Deal with it, bitch." He slapped you, and your cheek stung.
"You have no place to talk to me that way. You are the cause of the imbalance of the universe. You break everything you touch." His voice was harsh.
"And it is your place to judge me?"
"Well, someone has to protect the universe, since all you sorcerers do is destroy the things you were never meant to touch." He leaned down so that his eyes were level with yours, "and now that Stephen is trying to make new sorcerers, I have to clean that up, too."
"And what could you possibly gain with me?"
"Well, as I've said before, you've become close to him, and I need to stop him before he ruins things further. Once I have him, I will have no use of you and I will do the world a favor by killing you."
"Sounds fun." You murmured, and the man gave you a look before turning to leave. "Who are you, anyway?"
"It does not matter who I am. Now shut the hell up before I make you." And with that, he walked out of the dark room, leaving you tied in the center under a bright light. Boy, this just couldn't get any better, can it?
***
Stephens' POV.
Panic rippled through me when I opened (y/n)'s door, only to find that she was gone.
"No, NO!" I didn't care how loud I was yelling; all I cared about was her. I looked around the room to find some clue to what had happened, and I was able to find clues of a struggle. Someone took her. I turned when I heard footsteps rush towards the door. It was Wong.
"Dr.Strange, is everything all right? I can hear you screaming from all the way down in the library." He looked at me, then at the items scattered all over the floor. His expression changed from worry to confusion, then worry again.
"No, everything is not alright, (y/n) has been taken." I was angry. That much was clear in my voice. But I was also fighting back the urge to let tears slip down my cheeks. How could I have let this happen right under my nose? How could I have not held on tight enough to something newly precious to me? Only one thing was certain; I had to get her back.
