Giselle's POV
We searched and searched but couldn't find where the voices were coming from. "Johnny?! Johnny!!?" Dallas yelled as he ran down an aisle of food.
Ponyboy ran down another aisle and I did the same, only to turn up with nothing. That's when I realized that we were standing by the door when we had notice Johnny wasn't there. My eyes widened.
"Dally! Ponyboy! Outside!" I yelled as I ran towards the front of the store and towards the door. Dally has beat me and was already outside.
"Get your hands off of him!!" Dally yelled as he pushed someone off of Johnny. Dally quickly took out his switchblade and pointed it at all three of the boys that were there.
"Look boys! We've got another-" the boy was cut short as his eyes widened with fear. The two other guys looked at him confused. "Y-you're D-D-Dallas W-W-Winston!" the boy said.
Dallas smirked. "The one an' only" he said as he took a step towards them. They all took a step back. I took this moment to take a look at Johnny and gasped.
He had a cut lip that was bleeding, a bruised cheek from where they had hit him, and a black eye. There were also ring marks, from one of the boys hands, on his face.
He was clutching on to his stomach as Pony and I tried to help him up. "Now you listen here ya good for nothin' Socs. If I see you guys touchin' anyone of us again, I'll make sure that your name is carved so deep into a headstone, that not even fire can take it off" Dallas said as he held the switchblade up.
The three guys fell back and ran away. Dallas put his switchblade in his back pocket and turned around to face is. His once hard expression turned to one of concern and horror.
"Johnny! " he said as he soon came face to face with him. Johnny stood up on his own but then stumbled. He would have fallen back into the dirt if it wasn't for Dally being there to catch him.
"I-I'm alright Dally" Johnny said in a tired time. Dally didn't believe him. "You ain't alright. Damn it Johnny! I thought I told you to always stay in a group when we're in this part of town!" Dallas said raising his voice slightly.
Johnny bowed his head in shame. Dally sighed before throwing one of Johnny's arms over his shoulders. "Don't be ashamed kid. I just...I don't wantcha gettin' hurt anymore Johnny. It's bad enough..." he said, not finishing the last part.
Johnny groaned as Dally helped him to the car. Dally sat him in the back before closing the door and turning towards Pony and I.
"I'm gonna get some bandages then we'll head out" he said. I nodded and got in the driver seat while Pony got in the passenger side.
After around two minutes of waiting, Dallas came back with a bag full of supplies. He got into the back seat next to Johnny and I began to drive.
I was focused on the road but couldn't help but notice how gentle Dally was being with Johnny. He had somehow managed to take Johnny's shirt off and was holding him up to cover up the bruise on his side.
But that's not what surprised me the most. What surprised me was the sweet things he was saying to Johnny. Things such as, "it's alright Johnnycake. You're alright now" or, "we're almost done Johnny, just a couple more things".
"Are you almost done Dally?" Johnny's small voice said. Dallas chuckled. "Just let me cover your wrist, they twisted it pertty bad" he answered.
Johnny groaned in pain when Dally began wrapping his wrist. When he finished, he put Johnny's shirt back on and made him rest his head in his lap.
"We'll be there in a while Johnnycake. Just take it easy" Dally said as he combed his fingers through Johnny's greasy hair.
The rest of the ride was silent besides the snores coming from both Ponyboy and Johnny. We had stopped a while back to let Ponyboy lay in the back while Dally sat up front.
"Take a left up here Gis" his deep raspy voice said. I nodded and did as told. I pulled up to the abandoned church and came to a stop.
"Well, the sun's still up, I wouldn't reckoned you want to look around?" Dally said. I smiled and nodded. "Sure, but what about-"
"Ponyboy'll watch him. He only has a couple marks, nothing to permanent" Dally said. I sighed and nodded, getting out the car. Dally had on a grin when he walked over to my side of the car.
He took my hand in his and began walking me towards the church. I blushed slightly from the contact. He stopped us in front of the steps to the church and smiled.
"The sun looks pertty" he said interrupting the silence. "But you look more pertty" he said and I blushed. I looked at him only to have him wink at me. I blushed more and turned away.
He made me face him with his index finger and smiled. His eyes went from my eyes to my lips and back to my eyes. He did this a couple more times before leaning in and connected our lips.
Our lips moved in sync as he tried to deepen the kiss by licking my bottom lip. This doesn't feel right, I thought. But it did. It was so wrong, but it felt so right.
It wasn't like the kiss I had shared with Two-Bit, but there was something. The sound of a car door closing caught our attention and we quickly drew back. I blushed madly and tried to hide it by covering my face with my hair.
I heard Dally clear his throat before speaking. "Heya Ponyboy. Or should I say, Sleeping beauty" He said in a normal way. As if the kiss we had didn't happen seconds ago.
The only thing Ponyboy could do was yawn. I smiled and walked back over to the car. I saw that the sun was starting to set and decided to get some sleep.
"I'm gonna get some shut eye, you two don't stay up that long" I said before getting into the car. I sat there for a moment replaying what just happened then smiled.
I kissed Dallas Winston...
That's when another thought came through.
But I also kissed Two-Bit....
