SPOV:
My alarm was loud as it echoed throughout my room. I groaned and rolled over to shut it off. I was so tired and my week had been hectic. A new issue was coming out for the beginning of the month and everyone had been rushing about with deadlines. Throughout the week, Gemma had me go on various assignments and I was very grateful but on top of those, I also had to deliver all of my prints to my businesses. My exhaustion had crept on me late last night when I stayed over at the office to work on an editing board. I didn't leave until 2:30 in the morning and I was regretting that as I rolled out of bed.
When I got to the bathroom, I had remembered that it was Friday. I had the day off. I groaned and cursed under my breath as I turned off the light and shuffled back to my bed. I pulled the covers over my head and closed my eyes. Heavy rain drummed against the windows as I sunk once again into a deep sleep.
--
I awoke feeling so much more well-rested. The rain had stopped and the sun was trying to escape from behind the clouds. I let out a sigh and tried to roll over only to be stopped by a mass that was laying behind me. My heart immediately begin to race as I realized that there was another body in my bed. I held in a scream and jumped out of the bed, falling hard on the floor.
"Oy, Stevie, what's wrong?" a familiar raspy voice called out. A huge wave of relief washed over me when I realized that it was Harry. Wait, what?
"Harry?! What are you doing here? You scared the shit out of me!" I panted. My heart had just now started to slow from the nearly fatal panic that just went through my body.
"You left your door unlocked and I wanted to surprise you," he smiled.
"Well, you were successful. Christ, Harry."
Then it hit me. Harry was here with me. He was back and laying in my bed. Butterflies filled my stomach as he smiled up at me. I couldn't get back into bed quick enough as I wrapped my arms around him. I felt his arms tighten around me and he kissed my neck.
"I can't believe you're here! Why didn't you tell me you were coming? I thought that you weren't going to be back for a while," I said as I pulled away and rested my head on the inside of his shoulder.
"Better question, why was your door unlocked?"
I must have been that tired to forget to lock my door.
"I got in late last night from work and I guess I just forgot," I shrugged.
"Well hell, Stevie. I leave for a little bit and you become reckless," he laughed as he twisted my hair around his fingers.
I shrugged, "I had to do something to keep myself entertained. Why not wait for random strangers to come through the door?" He chuckled and kissed the top of my head. It felt amazing to have him here. I had missed him so much and I was thankful that I had been busy.
We talked about what we had gone on throughout the weeks we were apart. I told him about how the job was going and he told me about L.A. He talked about the interviews and how the show went. He then told me about the huge blow up that happened between him and Louis. I had actually heard something about it at work but I try to tune anything out until I hear it from Harry.
"Have you talked to Louis since?"
He shook his head, "Only when I have to."
"Well maybe you should try and talk, you know, after everything has calmed down. I agree that he was a dick but you guys don't need to be fighting." He agreed.
We let the silence sink in as we studied each other.
"What do you have to do today?" he said as his hands began to roam over my body. My heart fluttered when I felt his fingers trace over my hip bones and along my ribs. It took me a moment before I could answer.
"Um," I started but then his lips were pressed against mine. We were urgent in our kisses and I knew he no longer cared about my answer. He positioned himself above me as he pulled off his shirt. I let out a small gasp before he kissed me again, his tongue traced along my lip. I could feel my body becoming hot as I ached for him.
"I missed you so much," he said deeply into my ear. I nodded as I ran my fingers up his back and into his hair. He pulled away to look at me. His eyes were dark and I brushed away the hair that had fallen in face. The corner of his mouth lifted into a crooked smile and at that moment, he was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. He leaned down and kissed the tip of my nose.
"I love you," he whispered.
"And I love you."
--
We spent most of the day between the sheets. It was going on six o'clock when I finally rolled out of bed to shower. When I turned away from my closet, Harry had gotten up.
"Where are you going?"
"To shower, of course. This is the only place I've been since getting off the plane."
"Right but shower time is my time, love. You're going to have to wait," I laughed, wrapping my towel around me.
"Aw come on, Stevie. You have nothing to hide," he laughed as he walked up to me. I put my hand on his bare chest to stop him.
"I'm completely aware," I giggled, "But I do a lot of thought processing in the shower and I know damn well that if you're in there, I won't be doing much thinking."
He raised an eyebrow along with a smirk and he shrugged.
I laughed, "Exactly, so you wait. I won't take long." I reached up and kissed his cheek.
"You better not," he winked.
Once we were both showered and dressed, we came out and sat on the couch. Harry had put on the Ed Sheeran album and he told me about their friendship.
"He's just an incredible person," he said. I loved the way Harry talked about people. He always saw the good in people, even if they were complete assholes.
"So what do you want to do tonight? We could go out or I could attempt to cook dinner," I suggested.
He smiled, "Let's stay here, I've missed this place." He looked around the room.
"Got it, so spaghetti? It's the only thing I know I can make without burning down the building."
He laughed as I got up from the couch and went to the kitchen. I began gathering things when Harry got up and walked over to his bag that sat beside the door. He took out his guitar from it's case and sat back down. He began to strum along with the song that was playing. Quickly, I left the kitchen and turned down the music.
"What are you doing?" he said over his shoulder.
"I want to hear you and only you," I said, walking back to the kitchen. I met his eyes and smiled.
"Play for me." He gave a small smile and started to play a song I didn't recognize.
"Is that something you wrote?" I asked as I dumped the noodles in boiling water. He nodded.
"Do you like it?" Harry asked without looking up from his fingers.
"It's beautiful." Harry continued to play various songs. Some I recognized but most of them were unfamiliar. When the food was ready, he put his guitar on the couch and came over to the table. He placed a kiss on my temple before he sat down.
"It looks good," he said, picking up his fork.
"Well good luck. I'm not much of a cook so I'm just warning you," I said over the brim of my wine glass. I watched him take up a fork full of noodles and put it in his mouth. He smiled as he chewed and gave me a wink.
"It's delicious," he swallowed, "Honestly."
"Fantastic. I'm glad you like it," and I began to dig into my own.
