Great, just great...camp. We'd just started grade eight and now we had to go on flippen CAMP!
I'd been to this place before for netball camp and it was terrible. I was sick, left my cutlery at home and had been forced to play netball by the university coaches that had been coaching us. Just grade six! In fact grade six had been an...interesting year.
I was looking forward to camp because I would be with my friends, but the food was usually suckish and the dorms always talked 'till midnight. Oh, I forgot to mention one tiny detail, it was my birthday on the second day of camp.
I sighed, shrugging my extremely heavy bags off my shoulders and into the trailer and then climbed up the stairs of the bus, joining my friends at our seats. This was going to be a loooong drive I thought, laughing as my best friend Amy started asking when we were going to leave, Liv, my fabulous fantastic friendie, sat with Caitlin and Cayley...and they were both going on about how grade eight was such an information overload. I agreed, but even though they were my best friends, I wasn't in the mood to get into the whole deep conversation about it though. Right now, I just wanted to sleep. It was 6:30 in the morning and I was tired.
I leaned my head on Amy's shoulder and began snoozing, listening to the soothing sound of my friends voices and dozed off.

"Child! Wake up," I hear, "we're at the garage, and I feel like a coffee!" Caitlin shook me as the others stood behind her laughing at my laziness.
"I think I might have to get one too!" I say laughing as I stand up and follow the girls out. Pine Creek grade eights have literally taken over the Engen garage. We were everywhere; in the bathrooms, waiting in the cue for coffee, at the fridges for drinks, at the chips and sweets, in line to pay, at the Steers getting chips...we were probably giving all the workers a shock, and getting the place a huge cash inflow.
I sat down at the table munching on a Lunch Bar and sipping my cappuccino, hmmm, bliss! And now I was pretty awake, my friends all slumped down next to me, all together they had literally bought the whole shop! Chips, sweets, candy floss, cool drinks and chocolate filled our table.
"You planning a secret party for me?" I ask jokingly.
"Possibly, but none of this is for it! We want this for our drive back, the rest of our drive there and whenever we need a little energy!" Is Liv answer, everyone laughed at this.
"Plus, I've got your gifts wrapped up somewhere else!" Says Cayley sneakily.
I gasp in fake surprise they'd been telling me they had presents since last week, "really? You got me a present!" I laugh, teasingly pushing her shoulder.
Caitlin started to complain about the busyness of the shop. So we all went outside. Amy, being pissed about Caitlin making us go outside was the first to speak. "This candy floss is so disgustingly dodgy!" She says, rolling her eyes.
The candy floss was stuck together and chunky.
"It's probably made by a drug dealer!" Liv says laughing, her auburn hair flying everywhere as her head shakes around.
Amy teasingly tugs on Liv's hair.
"Hey! You popo! Leave me alone!" She yells and then punches her back.
