Katelyn's POV

KABOOM
I jutted awake at the sound of the thunder. I'm not sure if you know this, but I hate thunderstorms. With a passion; they scare me out of my pants. I shot straight up in the bed and felt my heart run miles in my chest. I looked around and realized I was home, and safe, and... with Audrey?

Oh, right. The storm, the tree, the flat tire, the sister with the car; I remember now.
"Katelyn?" I heard a small whisper from my right. My head snapped over, still a little spooked from the loud thunder outside.
"Yeah?" I stuttered.
"Why are you still awake?"
"I-I'm, the thunder woke me up."
"Me too. I love listening to the rain at night."
"Not me, storms like this one scare me. I don't like them at all."
"Why?" She inquired, oblivious to the topic. My chest tightened and my breath got choppy but I kept going.
"When I was little my dad was taking me to dance class, and it was storming. He couldn't see the road and someone pulled out in front of him..." I tried to talk some more and give more information, but I doubted I could go on without crying.

"Oh, is that why-" Audrey started.
"Mhm." I croaked softly in return.
"I'm sorry, Katelyn." She said, reaching her arms out for a hug. Just then, the thunder sounded again, louder. So the real storm was yet to come. I jumped practically out of my seat, but Audrey caught me in her embrace and didn't let go as I laid my head on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, it's just a storm."
"Easy for you to say, you weren't in the backseat of a car wreck." I replied, making Audrey chuckle. She sat against my headboard and wrapped her left arm around me. She rested her left hand on my side and her right one on my arm. I wrapped my own left arm around her stomach and rested my head on her chest.

The rain kept coming, but I quickly fell asleep listening to the rain on the roof and Audrey's heartbeat.

"I'll catch up with you, Katelyn. I have to go turn in the uniform paper." Audrey exclaimed as she walked out of Geometry with me. It's now Tuesday and she hasn't said a word about what happened Thursday night. Maybe she forgot?
"Alight. I'm going to the gym and getting ready."
"Ok I'll see you after that."

I walked into the gym and quickly made my way to the locker rooms. I ran into the girls room and set my bag down. 'Hmm. No one else is here.' I thought, 'Strange' I went into a changing stall and started to strip. I pulled my exercise tank on and started to put my shorts on when I heard the door slowly creak open.
"Hello?" I heard a male voice say, it sounded familiar but I didn't get to put my finger on it.
"Someone's in here." I replied wearily.
"Katelyn?"
"Umm, yes. Who's there?"
"Where are you?" They asked. Oh fudge. I know exactly who this is, Aiden Norman.

"It's not going to be around you, so leave me alone, would you?" I snapped, quickly changing the rest of the way so I could get the hell outta there. I heard the small bang of the door closing and darted out of the stall and into the open. That was terrible idea, Katelyn!
"Well, someone's looking hot and sexy today." He smirked.
"Let me out." I commanded him.
"Feisty, you've got some spunk. And dominance, I can work with that." He said, his eyes wandering me like a child in a toy store.
"No," I exclaimed, attempting to run to the door and make an escape, "I told you to let me out!"
"Nah ah ah. I was thinking you could stay." He said, stretching his arms out and stumbling towards me.
"No. Let me out." I commanded him again.
"I'd rather not." He grinned like a bobcat, walking so close I could smell his tobacco breath. I was going to push him; until I was shoved up against the wall. He took hold of my wrists and held them all the way out, pinned up against the tiled walls in the locker room.
"Fuck you!" I spat out.
"Haha, if you want to I can arrange something, cupcake." He said, getting closer and closer. He stood on my feet and held my wrists in a solid grasp.
"Go to hell."
"I've already been, cupcake. Wanna come with me this time?"
"Only in your dreams, dickwad." I spat, normally I'd be a good kid and keep my mouth shut for curse words, but this guy was hella stupid.
