Audrey's POV

I groan as I hear the alarm on my phone go off. I roll over to silence the God forbidden thing.  I notice that I have a text message.

Katelyn: Good morning, beautiful!!

I smile and respond quickly. Only Katelyn could brighten my day. It's only been a little over a month since we started dating, and I have honestly never been happier. We're still not officially 'out' yet; however, Riley was the first to know about our newly formed relationship. She was super excited about it.

I get dressed and headed for school. Once I arrived, I began to look for my girlfriend. I finally spotted her talking to her friend Sophie. Smirking, I sneak up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist.

"Morning, my lovely lady," I whisper in her ear.

Katelyn jumps slightly and blushes furiously. I snicker and rest my head on top of hers.

"Aww! You two are so adorable together!" Sophie squeaked. Katelyn told Sophie about us, and she was surprisingly supportive of it.

Katelyn continued to grumble things under her breath, still obviously flustered. This is one of my favorite things about dating her; I can easily make Katelyn flustered or embarrassed by doing so little. It's honestly hilarious. Sadly, the bell rings signaling it's time to go to first period. I sigh and let go of Katelyn.

"Time to go to class," I hold out my hand, which Katelyn happily accepted.

~Fast forward to the end of gym~

"Alright, everyone can go and change now!" The coach dismissed everyone.

I jogged over to the locker room to change into my normal clothes. As I finish up and walk out of the stall, I'm pulled aside. I look up to see that it was Katelyn who pulled me aside. She looked around the locker room to see if we were alone– which we were. She looked down at the floor and twiddled her thumbs nervously.

"Hey, is everything okay?" I put my hand on her shoulder.

Katelyn looked up at me and sucked in a breath of air, "Audrey, would you like to go to the Valentines Day dance with me?"

I chuckled at how adorable she was being, "Of course! It would be my pleasure!"

Katelyn let out a delighted squeak as I picked her up and spun her around. I finally put her down and kissed her. I backed her up until she was against the wall. I rested my hands on her waist. Before things deepened, we were interrupted by the bell.

"Well that's no fun," Katelyn pouted.

"I know, but we have to get to class," I kissed the top of her head. "Let's go."

When we walked out of the locker room, Riley was leaning against the wall waiting. She looked up at us and smiled discerningly.

"Don't," I glared at her.

"What? I was just waiting for you two to hurry up," she said innocently. "It took you guys forever."

"Hey! It's lunchtime!" Katelyn said tugging on my arm. "Come on! I'm hungry!"

I chuckled, thankful she changed the subject. I let Katelyn drag me out of the gym with Riley right behind us. The cafeteria began filling with students. We walked over to our table and set our backpacks down. Katelyn and I started to get into the lunch line until we were stopped.
