Audrey's POV
It's a late and semi-gloomy Tuesday evening. Katelyn and I had decided on taking a small walk in the local park.
I slip my hand into Katelyn's as we walk. A sudden gust of wind made me shiver. Katelyn gave my hand a small squeeze and started up a conversation:
"The geometry test today was ridiculous, huh?"
I nodded my head, "Yeah, half of the material on there was stuff we haven't even learned yet."
"But we're going to use this in the future! I'll definitely need to know how to find the hypotenuse of a triangle," Katelyn said mockingly. We both laughed. The laughter soon died down as another gust of wind hit us. I glanced up at the sky to see the dark storm clouds rolling over us. Moments later it started raining lightly.
"We should get going before it gets worse," I suggested.
"We should stay out here and walk in the rain, or we could dance!" Katelyn stopped me.
I looked at her like she was crazy, "What? We can't stay out here. We'll get all wet and muddy, and we could get sick."
"Aw, pleasee!" Katelyn whined.
"No, we shouldn't–" I was cut short when Katelyn softly pressed her lips against mine. My mind went all fuzzy. My breath hitched when Katelyn began trailing her hands down my sides. It's funny how we've been dating for a couple of months, and she still has this kind of affect on me. As we kissed, one of my hands rested on Katelyn's waist while the other found the small of her back. Here we are passionately kissing in the rain. Huh, another cliche moment."So how about it?" She whispered in my ear; her breath tickling my neck, sending a shiver down my spine.
I finally gave in, "Fine."
The rain was coming down a little harder now but not too hard. I groaned internally because I'm not too enthused with staying out in the rain and getting all wet and stuff. Katelyn grabbed my hand and looked up at me.
"Shall we dance?" She asked.
But I didn't mind it because I was with Katelyn, so I just smiled like an idiot, "We shall."
I spun her around and she giggled. If anyone were to see us right now, they would think 'What are these two idiots doing playing in the rain?' Again, I didn't mind. I would just simply cherish this moment.
Katelyn pressed her body closer to mine as we just swayed in the rain. I kissed the top of her head and wrapped my arms around her. Katelyn buried head hear further into my neck. She sighed heavily before looking up at me. Her chocolate brown eyes looked sad, and that confused me.
"Everything okay?" I asked her, concern lacing my voice
"Please don't ever leave me," Her voice was so small. My heart almost broke.
I gently cupped her face with my hands, "Hey, I won't ever leave you. Don't think like that. I like you too much to do that."
She smiled sadly, "Okay."As I wrapped my arms around Katelyn to hug her, I felt her shiver.
"You're getting cold. We should go," I stated. She just nodded as we began to walk back.Katelyn's POV
As we walked in the door to Audrey's house I heard Davie come rushing down the stairs. His little stampede gave Audrey a chance to drop her stuff and open her arms.
"Sissy!" He shouted as he jumped on her. She almost fell backwards but gave him a laugh.
"Hey silly, are you hungry?" She asked.
"Mhm! What's for supper?" He inquired, rubbing his little belly.
"How about... chicken with cheese and macaroni!" She questioned in an exciting manner.
"Yay!" Davie cheered. I gave them a giggle as Audrey spoke again.
"Alright, just let us go sit our stuff down and then we'll make some food." Davie nodded and Audrey picked her stuff back up and walked with me upstairs."He's so cute! I wish I had a little brother-"
"No, you don't. You really don't." Audrey cut me off.
"Why not?"
"When you leave, he becomes a monster." She answered, shuttering.
"Sure! Little Davie becomes a monster!" I replied very sarcastically.
"Think what you want, Babe. That kid is insane."
"Sure, food time?"
"Totally"
