My ship is sinking.
My crew has abandoned me.
The night's long locks and dark streaks welcome me.
Gentle touches over my naked skin.
I stand at the edge,
peering over the midnight ocean.
Wooden rails, so thin.
How easy it would be to just,Fall.
How sweet the kiss of death felt against my cheek,
as I landed headfirst into the deepest of deeps.
Straddled by the world around me,
I am carried by the weight of my injustice.
My lungs are filled with the murders of my people.
How can I breathe when I am drowning in this ocean?
An ocean whose water is an unforgiving abyss.
My ship is submerged.
And I, am sinking next to it.
What lurks deep drags me farther.
And me, do I welcome death easily?
