-Astrid PoV-

For once, everyone was relaxing on the Edge. We were finally able to convince Hiccup to take a few days off from his 'Viggo obsession'.

As for the moment, I was standing outside of my hut watching the twins and Barf and Belch blow up the last supply of Monstrous Nightmare gel. I let out an annoyed sigh.

"RUFFNUT, TUFFNUT!" I yelled. They flew over and pretended to look innocent.

"Hello, Astrid!" Ruffnut smiled. "How's your day goin'?"

"And might I say, you look terrible." Tuffnut added. I ignored him.

"You two know you shouldn't be using the Monstrous Nightmare gel. We need it for battle." I explained using my hands. I shook my head. "Course you don't know. You're the twins."

"It's not my fault blowing up our precious buildings that took so so long to build is so fun!" Tuffnut declared. Hiccup was walking up the stairs on the other side of the Edge base. "See, watch!"

Before I could do anything to stop him, he tossed it behind him. Just as the bottle of gel was about to hit Hiccup, Belch faced it and used his spark to light it up. The gel bomb went off. The explosion rang throughout the island.

Hiccup hit his head on one of Fishleg's boulders as he tumbled down the Edge.

Once the fire was put out by Snotlout and Hookfang, the smoke cleared. I peered over the edge. Hiccup lied on the second story of the base unconscious.

Without thinking, I ran down the stairs near me and ran around to him. I knelt next to him. "Hiccup?" I asked slightly shaking him.

The twins landed, dismounted and walked over to us. Fishlegs and Heather flew in. The must've heard the explosion. The ran over to us as well. Toothless was no where to be found.

I looked back down at Hiccup. I grabbed his wrist and checked for a pulse. "He's alive." I confirmed. I looked at Ruff and Tuff. "See what happens when you mess with stuff you shouldn't touch?"

Tuff looked down and didn't say anything for once.

"We need to get him inside." Heather said. She stood over Hiccup and me.

I nodded. "Help me with him." Heather and I picked up Hiccup with the help of Snotlout and Fishlegs.

Fishlegs held open the door to Hiccup's Hut as the rest of us carried him. Ruff and Tuff walked away in shame. After a really difficult time of getting a Hiccup up to his bed, I finally found Toothless.

Toothless ran to his rider and licked his face. He allowed us to place him on the bed.

Toothless looked at us for an explanation. "The twins." Fishlegs said. "They caused an explosion."

Toothless growled.

"You can kill them later," I bent down to be at his level. "Right now, you need to stay at his side." Toothless nodded and sat next to the bed. He stared at Hiccup waiting for him to wake up. It was heart breaking.

"You should stay here too." Heather suggested.

"What?" Snotlout objected. "Why is she staying?"

"Because we have to watch him just in case that explosion did something more than just knocking him out." I said.

"Well. . . That makes sense." He walked out followed by Fishlegs and Heather. Before she walked out, she turned and smiled. I smiled back before going to Toothless's side.
