Rejection never felt better?_ Chapter 2_ Wait who beta?

( 2 years later).

I was standing in front of the floor length mirror, looking over myself, I was wearing a floor length dress, it was dark blue and the end had sparkles,my makeup consist of dark blue eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and bare lips. I'm not on for dress up but I had a pack meeting and Eva said to dress nice.

if you don't remember I went to Eva pack when I was kick out of my pack by my own mate. Since then I been doing a lot better, I lost over thirty pounds so I'm not for weight anymore, I'm an awesome fight I. Wolf form and human form.

"Hurry up Faith" Ashton yelled from my door, Ashton is my boy friend, he didn't find his mate yet, but when he does I let him go. Ashton is a nice guy, he now about Seth and the rejection and doesn't judge. Nobody judges me.

We been going out for about a year now and I know I'm in love with him, I know it going to hurt when he finds his mate and leave me but I'm ready, and I be happy for him, his mate is a lucky girl.

" I'm don't don't get your panties in a twist" I teased, he narrowed his eye playfully.

walking down the stairs, Ashton right behind me, when i was in the middle of the stair way, Eva and her mate, Nate, was smiling and every pack member was also smiling.

when i got to the bottom of the stair Nate started to speak.

" Hello my pack, as you know, the beta of our pack retired yesterday, me and my mate, finally chosen a new beta, one who is loyal, smart, strong physically and emotionally. Welcome your new Beta, Faith Anderson" Nate finished holing up his glass, every body copied his move but me. i was stunned.

" Faith?" Eva said waiving her hand in front of my face but i was too stunned, why me , its not like I'm special or anything, i strong yes, but smart? I don't get it, why me?

" Faith!"  Eva yelled slapping me on the cheek, every body turn there attention on us.

"Why" i asked

" Why what?" Eva furred her eyebrow

"Why me, I'm not smart or anything, yes strong but how am i suppose to be beta? i don't know what to do?" i rushed looking at her with wide eyes, Eva smiled and took my hand leading me to some chairs.

"I chose you because no matter what, you loyal, strong, yes you smart, and when you were in your last pack, you didn't take crap from anybody. Faith, you like another sister to me, and now you the beta all you need to accept it."

Staring at her, Im beta, Im beta i kept repeating those word in my head, after a while i smiled.

" Im beta" i shock of power ran through me, my whole body was tingling, i felt, how do i say this, powerful, confident.

The party was like any other party but every body kept congratulating me on the new position. Every body had pride in there eyes, to see there new beta, at the end of the party i had to make a speech, wow this will suck.

I was on top of the stage, and every body was facing me, pride and happiness in there eyes and everybody was smiling.

" Hey every body" i said and got hellos and other greeting back. " Well i dont know what to say, i mean, im glad i can be your beta" I started.

" Okay even though you might not know me, I will not turn my back on every one of you all. I take my position very seriously, and i will protect every single of you all." I took a deep, shaky breath.

" And i will die for you all, if anybody and i mean anybody need anything i will be there for you. I will be loyal and if i have a choice to live or die for you all, i will gladly take my very last breath for you all." I closed my eyes.
