Lucinda suddenly yells bomb and everything goes into a blur. I am on the ground one second and the next, I am on Dusk. As the seconds count down, I can feel the wind hitting my face. How fast are we going? Wait is Lucinda jumping off? I think to myself as she orders Dusk and me to continue on. Is that crying I hear?
Dusk says nothing but increases his speed. Finally we hear it. *BOOM*
The flames of the blast is far behind us, yet the force of it hits us. Throwing me off of the talking fur ball who has anger issues and face first into the snow. I look up to see Dusk has rolled on the ground and landed in a crouch. Great even the wolf is better then I am at sticking a landing. I think as I see a huge dome of light about a mile and a half away.
"That was a half sphere bomb then." Comes of low voice of the talking wolf. I look over at him and raise an eye brow.
"A what?" I ask knowing I am about to be eaten.
"You really are an idiot. Half sphere means half of a globe and bomb is an explody thing that goes boom." He says while shaking off the snow from his fur.
"Oh thank you Caption Dah. I didn't know that. I mean what does it do?" I snap, glaring at the wolf who has been around Lucinda to much.
"Keep up the attitude and I will eat you." He says standing up as tall as he could and staring down at me from his mussel. "A sphere bomb is a bomb that goes off in a perfect circle, leaving nothing in its wake. Except maybe a few charred souls who happen to be in its path. It tends to level forests. Leaving only ash." He says as he starts walking back towards the area of the blast.
One of the dragons fly up then and land beside Dusk. "Di.. Da lashi... baka noooo." It screeches at the wolf.
This causes the wolf to walk a bit faster and his ears to twitch. Realizing that I am being left behind, I start to jog after them. With each step, I can feel the damage I have taken to my left shoulder and right leg. Not to mention the cuts and bruises on my face and the rest of my body.
Dusk looks at me. "The blast was a mile wide dome. Only ash and dust is left of the area. Seems the spell consisted of holy flame. And yes that is elemental before you ask and no it wasn't a magic user. It was an actual bomb meaning it works in this realm." He says, expecting my question before I even got to ask.
"Wait how fast can you move?" I ask realizing that he said that the blast was a perfect circle and was a mile big.
"Oo, someone caught that. Good boy." He says while swooshing his tail a few times. "When we where near that man, that was the center of the blast. Meaning we would have had to leave a little more then a half mile to not be scorched by the flames. Yet we are a total of two miles from the edge of it. Meaning that in the 30 seconds of the flight, I went 2 and a half miles. You do the math." He says laughing.
"Wait you where even dodging trees and rocks on the way. Holy crap your fast." I say still jogging to keep up with him.
"I was also boosted by a spell Lucinda used." He says flatly.
After a few minutes, we reach a charred line in the ground. Its curving perfectly. The ground is all black and grey, no steam, no fire, nothing but death. As I look at it in awe, Dusk comes up behind me and pushes me into the ashen landscape.
