Aleina

I don't know how this dude got in here or where he came from but I'm freaking out. What is going on here? I think as I stand here watching Lucinda fight this, guy? Monster? Thing? Everything was going by in slow motion and I couldn't do anything but stand there with my mouth open.

I-I can't move. I can't. What is he? What's going on? I think to myself as I hear Lucinda call my name through the haze.

"Aleina!" I hear still frozen. "Aleina!" She's calling you, I tell myself, trying to snap out of it. I shake my head and try to focus on what she was saying.

"Aleina, go to my desk drawer and grab the iron bracelet and a clear marble! Look I know you are scared but DAMN IT LISTEN TO ME!" Lucinda yells.

I nod my head, then quickly stand up and run over to her desk. My shaking hands are rummaging through the drawer till I finally find the marble and bracelet she is talking about. "N-now what? W-what do I do" I say in a shaky voice.

"Put the bracelet on the floor in front of us and the marble in it, don't worry he won't hurt you." I freeze, is she... she glowing?

"Just do it!" She yells, snapping me out of my stupor. "O-kay, okay," I say and quickly run over in front of them. I put the bracelet down first and then the marble. After that's set I run to the far side of the room and I stand against the wall.

Suddenly, I hear Lucinda speaking a strange language. Why do I feel like I know what's she is saying? But I have no clue what's going on. I stare at her as she put her hand on the man's chest. Then, she looks at the marble and bracelet and then she speaks those strange words again.

"Eva soan malish a-va. No-aki boar-ama. Dis-a-mel in to daki." Black shadows creep their way out of the man as he thrashes to and fro like one of those guys in a possession movie. What's going on? I think to myself as a black ball shoots out of the man's mouth. What's she saying? I ask myself when she says, "Esh nala comasi. Dara-MOI," making the black orb thing shoot into the marble on the floor. Ok... What just happened? I wonder as I look around wide eyed. I didn't realize I had slid down to the floor until Lucinda was looking down at me.

"Please don't scream." She says softly as she comes towards me. I hold my hands out in front of me, "No, no wait... J-just stay there." I slowly get up and make my way around her not letting her out of my sight. I collapse on my bed and start fiddling with my ring on my right hand. I open my mouth only to find I had nothing to say and shut it.

What the heck am I supposed to say after seeing something like that? Was I just imagining things? I look down and purse my lips to the side.

I let out a frustrated sigh and jump to my feet. "What the hell was that Lucinda?" I ask as I point at the man lying in our floor. Before she has a chance to respond I glare at her, and stomp my foot. "Just what the hell did you do? What happened to your sprained ankle? There's no way any of th- that was even possible."

She looks at me remaining emotionless. "I have a spell on me which activates to numb any pain I am in... I will feel a lot of pain later." She says causally while I watch her pick up the bracelet with the marble somehow.... floating in the middle of it. She walks over to her desk and places it down gently. I tense up as she walks over to stand in front of me. She sits down across from me on her bed. I relax slightly and slowly sit back down waiting for her to respond.

"Well you didn't scream." she says while scratching her head with an unsure smirk. "Thank goodness that my time lapse spell took an affect and that no one should be here on a Friday night. Especially when there are so many Halloween parties." I hear her mumble.
