Lucinda
I'm sitting in the school's caff at HQ eating a nicely cooked meal. Here in the rebellion we make sure everyone gets fed a proper meal and have many choices from many lands. In front of me is a plate of meat from some demon beast monster thing. And boy does it taste fantastic. All juicy and yummy. As I am digging into my amazing meal, I hear a voice I loath. "Well don't you eat like a beast." Comes the annoying voice of my friend and other partner Keyno.
"I might eat like a beast, but at least I don't look like one." I snide and wipe my face clean.
He gasps falsely and sits in front of me. "I am no beasty." He says with a wink. My response is only an eye roll. "So Lucy, I have an important question for you." He says getting all serious on me and dampening my awesome almost food coma.
"The answer is no." I say before taking a drink from my cup.
"I'm serious." Is all he says before he takes a bite of his food. It almost looks like some awesome pasta dish with a steak on the side.
I stop eating and look at him. "What then?" I say calmly. My food coma is gone! Just like his heart! I think to myself but only internally.
He stops for a moment and takes a deep breath. "The... Well its... um..." He says stumbling over his words.
"Is this about your family?" I ask suddenly understanding what is going on. Keyno is a Corieonan, much like his twin brother Kadorium (Keynon) and my past like Shashenia. All of whom were once loyal to his royal douchyness.
"Sort of." He says looking away. "I was wondering if I could have a few days off." He says looking at me with resolve.
"Sure." I say in return. "Feel free to take any rebels with you if you wish. Or I can come along if you need." I say.
He shakes his head. "My family no longer lives in our homeland. They fled and have a new home. The thing is, my father is a member of the Daloriem not as a council member anymore. Well you know that because you took his spot on the council. And Luna is there as well I guess..." He says trailing off.
The Daloriem is, in short, a governing body of all the realms magic. They are the over all ranking system of the realms and keep tabs on as many people as they can. Well really the strong ones. The strongest of a certain magic can become a council member regardless of their views. For the longest time Shashenia was the Dalom which is like the strongest of them all type of thing. She was also the main leader. Anyways, the council has one of each magic class and a few other classes: Summoning, Elemental, Weapons, Psychic, Beast, Shadow, Card, Charmed Item, Caster, and Healer. They total 10 plus the Dalom. Not all of them have to be fighters, they are just the best of their class. It adds in everyone who wants to join and no they don't have to be good guys.
"You still want the rebellion to merge with them? I mean I know we have a lot of members of the Daloriem with us.. but they are not supposed to interfere with wars. Which is stupid if you as me." I mumble. I hate being on this council, they are really a strong group and could help us in many ways, but I was told that I would have to rise up and be a Dalom to be able to get them to listen to what I had to say. And frankly, being leader of the rebellion is enough for me.
Keyno only smiled. "You know, you cut yourself short on being a leader. You could rule the realms." He says and laughing at the thought.
"Why would I want to rule the realms? That would mean I would have to deal with..." I pause for dramatic affect and then look around. I lean in close to Keyno and whisper, "people!"
He busts out laughing. "Why do you hate being a leader anyways? And you already deal with people." He says shaking his head.
I make a face and shake my head. "Leaders are usually jerks and I don't like people. People are stupid." I say squinting at him.
