Write a scene that takes place at a concert.

I rocked from one foot to another in anxiety and tried to remember not to tap my fingers against my guitar.

Sean practiced random chords on his bass, while Christopher twirled his drum sticks. I could tell they tried not to show they were nervous, but it was obvious that they were by the looks on their faces. Suddenly, the image of them screaming like a girl popped into my head randomly, and I giggled silently.

Violet gave me a weird look, and I tried to compose myself. She shook her head at me and went back to watching the band before us through the curtains. She didn't seem nervous at all, but that was just how Violet was, anyway.

Before I could control my giggles, I heard the band before us finishing off their song, and a staff member motioned for us to get ready. That instantly sobered me into silence, and I started tapping my fingers against my guitar again. A drum stick lightly hit them a few times, and I looked up to see Christopher smirking at me.

"Nervous?"

Sighing, I replied, "I'm not sure if I can even make it halfway through the song."

I looked down at my feet, breathing in and out deeply. After a few moments of silence, he tapped my head with his sticks gently and simply said, "You'll make it through."

Lifting my head, I was about to say something sarcastic, but he had already turned away to talk to Sean.  Instead, I saw Violet behind him, staring at me with an unreadable expression on her face.

When she saw me looking at her, she changed it to her usual poker face and motioned me over.

"Hey, the band before us got a bad score," she stated when I was by her side.

I gave her an incredulous look and responded, "Are you serious? They sounded amazing though."

She gave a little shrug and said, "I don't know, the judges said something about 'no soul' or whatever."

Confused, I was about to ask her what they meant by that, but just then, a staff motioned for us to be quiet and to follow him. I immediately clamped my mouth shut and did as he said.

As soon as we were all set up on stage, I took deep breaths and struggled to remember the lyrics.

Violet, from behind me on her keyboard, hissed, "Ali! Don't stress so much about it! Remember to have fun!"

I barely heard her from the pounding of my own heart and just gave an ok sign.

After making sure of our band name, one of the judges motioned for us to start. Making eye contact with Sean, we both nodded as we mentally synchronized our beats, and Christopher kicked off the song with his sticks.

One, two, three, four!

A/N

OK, so I kinda cheated on this one, because it wasn't exactly a concert. It was an audition, for those of you who haven't figured that out. But I just got a little creative by straying off on a bunny trail...nothing bad about bunnies...
