Chapter 4 Part 1: Were You Worried About Me?

  One day at the end of the school, to say properly, at the last class, teacher asked me to meet with the principle, he didn't know for what reason. So I walked towards the principle room. When I reached to his room, I saw principal was sitting on his chair, smiling lightly. I was shocked to see him like this. I slowly asked what happened, he gave me an envelope and gestured me to open it. I slowly opened it and saw a letter, which was from King Regis, and it said about a mission of infiltrating a Niflhiem base. It was two days mission, I needed to meet with his majesty after school. As he mentioned in the letter, I went to meet with his majesty after school and in the next morning, me, Nyx and Crowe went to the location to destroy Niffs. For this, I didn't able to attend school for two days.

  After two days of disappearence, I finally able to come back to school. I was somehow happy to able to meet with my friends again. I couldn't stop myself from smiling! But who knew that someone is really very mad at me, for not telling him about my sudden disappearence?

  I reached to my classroom in the school by walking, no, almost running. I opened the door and searched for the prince and the  quicksilver. But I found out that the Prince was sitting on a different desk, determined not to look at me and Prompto was sitting beside my desk, giving me a short smile. I didn't understand what exactly happened between them, so I decided to ask Prompto about it. I went on and sat on my desk.

  "Welcome back..." Prompto said slowly without looking at me.

  I took a glance of him withe the corner of my eye. "What happened? Why you two not talking to each other?"

  "The reason is you!" Prompto stated simply, which made me to look at him. "The third period is off class. Meet me near the cherry tree behind the building." Saying this, he went to take a different seat, further than mine. It made me sad that they didn't want to talk to each other anymore. This wasn't the right season for cherry blossom, still it was easy to recognise them as this time of the year those trees became without leaves. So I waited for the third period to come. In between the first and second class, the prince neither tried to look at us, nor tried to talk. I wondered what exactly I had done for breaking their friendship....

  When the third period came, I saw Prompto was nowhere to be seen. So I decided to meet him at the place where he asked me to. I stole a glance of the Lucian prince and then left the class. As expected, the prince didn't look at me, at all....

  I went on the back side of the school, to the specific place just to find out Prompto was standing, most likely leaning on the tree, with his eyes closed. I went near him, he opened and looked at me with his pale blue eyes. "So you have come..." A hint of sadness was clearly ringing in his voice.

  "What exactly happened?"

  "Where were you all this time?" Prompto threw the question at me, he was demanding the answer. "I'll tell you later, first tell what happened with him."

  "Not so good. From the day you disappeared, he was worried sick about you. He took address from the principle and went to your house, but he found out the door was locked. He then called to you a million times. He also took it from principal. Even though he called you, hoping he could get at least some news from you, but all the time it said switched off. First day just gone like this, thinking all the time where you actually had gone. Noct even went to asked those girls to know your whereabouts, those who beat you up pretty badly on the other day.

  On the second day, Iggy found out about Noct being worried about something. After listening the reason of his worries, Iggy told Noct to go to his majesty, as his majesty knew the reason. I don't able to hear the reason of your disappearence, but after hearing it, Noct started to act like this. I tried to ask him multiple times, but he gave no answer to me. He completely stopped talking with everyone. So what is the reason Cat, that you went out without giving any clue to anyone of us? Why his majesty, the third person, knows about the reason, where we, your closest friends, don't know about this at all? Tell me, WHY!!" The gun user yelled last part of this comment at me. I clenched my fist for knowing the reason what I actually had done. I remembered then what Ignis had told me about this little secret of mine. I knew this would come, but I didn't think for a moment that this would be THIS bad... Still I made this mistake when, I had to make it right then. It was my responsibility after all.

  "I didn't wanted to tell you because..." I hold myself, to think that if it would be good enough to tell him or not. "Because?" Prompto demanded again. "Because I didn't want you two to fell into concequences." Prompto stunned to hear it. It was clearly visible on his face that he didn't expect it at all. I continued then.

  "I.... Am a member of Kingsglaive. A young member of Kingsglaive. I had a mission to complete, under his majesty's order. It was to infiltrate one of Niffs base. His majesty and principal knew about this. I didn't tell you about this before because it may cause to risk the prince's life, if we somehow didn't became successful in this mission. I am sorry Prompto.... I am really very sorry....." At that time, I was on verge to break down, still I didn't allow myself to cry in front of him. But Prompto did saw through me, and so, he came close to me, hugged me tightly, patted on my back saying softly, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I was just lost control on myself. Please forgive me..."  I shook my head, "No, it's okay. I'm the one to blame, you have all right to yell at me..." My voice cracked, sobbing started to came out from my mouth. He hold me, embraced me till I calmed myself. At the end we broke the hug and I rubbed my eyes. I took a deep breath and said slowly, "But what can I do now? Everything is over....."

  "No, nothing is over yet. Go on and say sorry to Noct. He can't be mad on a pretty and courageous girl like you, right?" He grinned looking at me. My eyes widen at his comment and to see his signature grin. Then I looked down, "But, he won't accept it..."

  "He will accept it!"

  "How.... Can you be so sure about that?"

  "What do you think? I'm his friend after all!" He smirked, giving a thumbs up to me. "In the tiffin time I will call him on the roof, all you have to do is to say sorry, okay Cat?" He asked me pretty excitedly. I nodded as a yes. He then gestured me to go back to classroom and we then both headed back to the class, finding out the prince was still mad at me. I looked at Prompto with a sad face, he then smiled at me, giving a tight squeeze on my shoulder. I mentally thanked Prompto for giving me hopes. To say the truth, if I hadn't had a guy like him, I couldn't able to think to resume the friendship with him again. So like this, the third period was over, me and Prompto sat together and another class started.

  After a long time of going through rotten lectures of English literature, me and Prompto literally died. Our almost lifeless body fall on the desk. It was like it would be better if someone came and made a funeral of us. Still we had business to attend to. We both then stand up from our seat by thinking this and looked at each other. We nodded and Prompto went to the desk of the Prince to talk. I mentally prepared myself to talk with the Prince and then I walked out first from the class. I ran towards the roof as I only have the key to open the door of the roof. I went to that old place to sit and waited for Lucian prince to arrive. After a long wait I saw that the Prince and the gun user were coming to me. I then stood up from my sit and looked at them.

  Noct was annoyed as hell to see me. He looked at Prompto and asked, "Why am I here in the first place? I am busy with my work!" Prompto said, almost like screaming, "Come on dude, please talk to her!"

  "I am not in mood to talk with anyone now." He then started to leave the place, freeing his hand from the tight grip of Prompto's, then I decided to stop him with my next comment.

   "Tell me.... Were you worried about me...?"
