"Should I start keeping count of how many times I've saved you?"
Yuuri Katsuki, glared at the smirking superhero from the ground. "There's no need for that, i can save myself." The civilian mumbled, standing up and dusting himself off, taking his eyes momentarily off the superhero before looking up to him again, crossing his arms.
"Sure, I've seen that, this is the third time i had to save you this week, honestly, it's not unfitting to say that we don't know each other on a more personal level." Viktor Nikiforov countered, his playful smile still on its place. "It's like you're attracted to trouble or something...." He continued, trailing off, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Or perhaps you're attracted to me."
Yuuri almost choked. "W-What?"
"Oh, Yuuri, if you wanted to go on a date with me you could've just asked, you don't have to go so far to gain my attention, safety goes first, you know!" Viktor grinned, amused by the boy's immediate reaction. "I-I'm not, it's just that trouble always finds me. Bad luck!" Yuuri protested, sounding flustered.
"Bad luck? I guess you could say that, but you get saved by your handsome hero every time, so how bad is that bad luck really, eh?" The superhero cocked his head to the side, inching close to the Japanese boy.
"N-Nope, just bad luck, Nikiforov-san." Yuuri's lips were in a tight line, avoiding Viktor's twinkling eyes furiously as he played with his fingers. Yuuri always called Viktor by his last name, that often Viktor teased him with, saying how Yuuri would love to have that as his last name.
"Well, as much as i love to chat more with you, little piggy, i have a city to save." Viktor walked past Yuuri, patting his shoulder and giving him a flirtatious wink.
"H-Hey, i'm not a little piggy anymore, i lost weight Nikiforov!"
Viktor turned around to check Yuuri out. "Correct," A little smile played on his lips, "I'll just have to give you another nickname, katsudon, that's your favourite dish right?"
Yuuri faintly nodded.
"Okay then, see you later, katsudon, and i will most likely see you again." Viktor left Yuuri alone with one last wink that made him melt.
"He remembered my favourite dish..." Yuuri trailed off, with a dreamy sigh, clutching his loudly beating heart, as he watched Viktor run into the dangers of the city, accompanied by a sunset that made it even more spectacular.
Yuuri quickly shook his head and the thoughts within it. "Snap out of it Yuuri, he's a famous superhero, he's way out of your league!" Yuuri told himself with a firm nod.
The Japanese male stalked to his shared room, clenching his fists as he desperately tried to get the images of the handsome superhero out of his brain, and to ignore the fuzzy feeling in his stomach whenever they interacted.
He placed his hand over his heart, beating harder than it usually did.
"It's just the shock, besides, it's not like you're romantically interested in him, pfft."
