"U-Uh, Yeah of course!" I nodded and immediately stood out of the doorway to let him walk in, He stepped in leaving wet footprints behind from the rain.
"The weather is terrible today." He said while sliding off his coat and hung it on the coat hanger. How could he just come out of nowhere, talking normally, like he was never once gone?
"Yes." I paused to look up to him. "Indeed it is." He walked away to sit down at the dining room table.
"It really is odd, it usually doesn't rain this much in the fall-"
"Austin." I said sternly, cutting him off.
"Yes?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Where have you been? Why did you leave me at the carnival? Why did you let me sit here miserably and worry about you? Do you have any idea how scared I was over you? I thought something happened to you from how long you have been gone." I spat out so many questions and angry thoughts I had been waiting to say to him, He just looked at me in concern, Like he's never seen anybody be this emotional over him.
"Melanie-"
"I mean, you can't just steal my heart away and leave like you never existed, I don't deserve to be treated this way Austin, I can't keep chasing after something that I desire that will never be mine." Austin sat in shock, I don't think he's ever seen someone in this much stress and anger all at once.
"Melanie-"
"Do you have any idea how stressed I am over this, I was scared that'd never see you again and I just-"
"Melanie!" He stood up and gripped my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.
"I'm sorry." Is all he managed to say before pulling me in for a hug, he wrapped an arm around my head, and the other wrapped around my back, he rubbed my head gently to calm me down.
"I know what I did was wrong, I shouldn't have abandoned you like that." He said softly.
"Why did you do it?" Is all I managed to ask.
"I'm not sure, I don't know what has gotten into me recently, to just leave you like that, Maybe I just needed some time away, so that I wouldn't fall more in love with you than I already was, but all I know is I regret it and I'm truly sorry." He continued to hold me and all I felt was confused, he never gave me a good answer to why he did it, but he apologized and I decided to leave it at that, it was the past, and the past is gone, all I know is that it must have taken a lot of courage to just walk here to tell me how sorry he was.
"Okay." Is all I could reply with.
He pulled away and held my face in his palm, looking into my dark brown pupils, I couldn't resist admiring his beautiful features as well as he did mine, from his curly blonde locks to his sparkling green eyes, to his million-dollar smile, everything was perfect, even after what he did, it's like I couldn't ignore his emotions.
He ran his fingers through my silky pink and black hair while whispering sweet nothings in my ear to calm me down.
