"Where could he be?"

I stood at the main entrance patiently waiting for Austin to show up. He promised to meet me at 7:00, and it's already 20 after 7.

I was hoping he didn't bring up my hopes for nothing, I can understand being a couple of minutes late possibly, but if someone tells me to meet at a certain time, that doesn't mean 20 minutes late

I was hoping he didn't bring up my hopes for nothing, I can understand being a couple of minutes late possibly, but if someone tells me to meet at a certain time, that doesn't mean 20 minutes late.

I watched as children ran in and out laughing holding tickets, stuffed animals and other fun treats, Couples walked around hand in hand with smiles upon their faces. I had my limit.

I pulled out my phone and opened it and started scrolling through my contacts and finally found Austins from when he put it on my phone sometime during the week.

I started typing in a message to make sure he hadn't forgotten beside the fact he's the one who reminded me to meet at 7 tonight.

Hey! Where are you? - Mel

I pulled it out and opened it up to a text from...Austin.

Hey! Where are you? - Mel

Turn around.

My heart started throbbing once I read it, and I did as he said and turned the other direction behind me, soon enough I was facing a tall blonde boy standing across from me.

I held my hand to my chest and felt my legs shaking again from the nervousness I felt just then.

"Sorry that I was late darling, I just wanted to look my best for you and didn't realize I was so late." He said running his fingers through his hair.

Even though I was still a little upset about him being late, I played it off and acted like I didn't care so I wouldn't make him angry.

"No no that's quite alright Austin." I said with a short smile.

As we stood there staring into each other's eyes, He reached out a hand for me, I stared at it nervously for a bit before I laid my hand in his.
