Chapter 6

My eyes widened once the hall lights turned on.

"What are you doing up so late?" "And why are you on the floor?" She took her hand off the light switch.

I stood up quickly and tried to think of something to say.

"Uh, well, I was walking to get a glass of water, and then I..tripped over the rug and fell." She raised an eyebrow at me.

"What woke you up?" She walked closer toward me.

"Um, I had a bad dream" I started shaking a little.

"Hm, well I think it would be best to go back to bed dear." She started wiping something on her dress, It looked like blood.

"But, Is it okay if I get some wate-" I pointed towards the stairs.

"No no, I'll get it for you myself honey, Just go back to your room" She shooed me away with her hand.

"Okay then?" I walked towards my room, not looking back.

I laid on my bed, wondering what she did with my dad and the woman. But I knew that he was gone.

Suddenly, Mom opened the door, with a glass of water in one hand. She sat it on my nightstand and started walking out.

"Goodnight darling." She shut the door on her way out.

I took a sip of the water, trying to calm down. I stood up and walked towards the door and looked through the crack again to see where she had gone.

I peaked and saw her walk into her bedroom and heard her lock it behind.

"Maybe if I'm quiet enough, I can walk downstairs to see what is going on." I slipped on my slippers so no footsteps can be heard.

Only waiting a few moments to let her fall asleep, I opened the door as gently as possible and tiptoed down the hallway towards the stairs. I thought I heard someone following me, But I must have been just paranoid. Finally, I made it across without making a peep.

I was walking slowly down the stairs and looked around the living room. I was confused about what she even did with them, The chairs, rope, everything was out of sight, It looked like nothing had happened, Am I just having a hallucination? 

I walked towards the kitchen and I felt my foot kick something while walking.

Looking down, I saw a white sheet covered in blood. I stepped back and almost fell, But caught myself when I gripped a chair.

I couldn't believe this. No this can't be happening!

I pulled part of the sheet off, to reveal my father and the woman. Tears fled my eyes as I held my hand over my mouth, trying not to speak a word.

Then I felt something grab me from behind. I tried screaming but whoever it was put a rag over my mouth.

Everything went black.

My eyes opened, at first, I didn't know where I was at.

Until I realized, It was my room.

"Thank god it was just a dre-."

Then I saw that my wrists and ankles were tied to my bed.

As I was trying to wiggle free, my door swung open. It was mother.

"Mom? W-What is going on?" I said angrily. She just walked slowly towards me, with a sippy cup in her hand.

"Mom, This isn't funny!" She grinned at me. She looked me straight in the eyes and stood next to my bed and held up the cup.

"Please don't hurt me, mom." I begged.

"Oh, I am not going to hurt you." I squinted with a confused look. "I'm just giving you some medicine." 

"B-But I'm not sick?" I stuttered.

Without a warning, She jammed the sippy cup into my mouth, forcing me to drink out of it.

It tasted like cherry juice, which didn't worry me, but suddenly my eyes started feeling heavy.

What was in this? Why was it making me so tired? 

"Sleep well Melanie." 

Then everything started going black.

I fell fast asleep.

Everything went black.

I am so sorry for the late, lame update, I started school a couple of weeks ago and my classes are rough XD

I promise it will get better after this, And I will update as soon as possible!
