When Love Takes Over. (Chapters 9 - 20 in Development!)

CHAPTER SIX

Emily was on her Apple Mac laptop trying to place images together. She sighed as she looked out the window and stared at the sky. All she wanted was to feel free, to inspire others and to captivate her knowledge into things she loved doing.

Jack, her boss, strolled in with a big grin on his face when his eyes met Emily's. She flinched, to her he was a good-for-nothing busybody who always tried to hit on her. She wanted to find a new job but she knew this was the only way to achieve her dream. Emily wanted to do photoshoots and have her own magazine, she had an eye for design. Jack cleared his throat "I don't pay you to do nothing, hurry up and get that file finished or else" he said harshly. Emily sighed 'typical Jack' she thought. She sipped some of her coffee and looked at him. She knew she would have to stand up to him sooner then later. When Jack returned to his dark office, Emily looked at her phone. She received a text from Jamie!

Emily scanned the text 'Hey, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for disappearing a few days ago. I was shocked at the news and I was concerned for my kids. Plus, I didn't want to get you involved either. You have given me so many reasons to smile, thanks for all your help. Love Jamie x'. Emily blinked hard at the text and smiled. She was overjoyed that Jamie had finally contacted her over his whereabouts. Clicking her long, purple varnished nails she replied 'Hi, I'm so glad that you texted & that your doing okay. Aww anything for you, Jamie. Question is, will I ever see you again? Em x' Emily beamed as she stared at her phone. Hopefully once they both discussed things, they would get back on track.

Without Emily realising, Jack snatched her phone off her desk. She turned her head in disbelief "Jack.. that's mine, I know your a complete idiot but don't nick my things" she said angrily as she followed Jack into his office with her arms folded. Jack liked toying with her. He laughed "seriously.. who's Jamie? Your boyfriend!?" He jeered. Emily felt herself turn red, she sighed and grabbed her phone from Jacks hand. She felt anger rising in her body "yeah.. kinda... what's it to you anyway? Don't you have a life instead of meddling in mine" she yelled. Jack started to walk closer and closer towards her, so close that she had to lean against the office wall. Jack curled a few locks of her brown, glossy hair around his pale finger. His eyes were eyeing up her body, like she was a baby deer and he was a tiger searching for prey. Jacks face was starting to turn as red as blood "You know, Em. You and I would have been great together... you could have been mine" he whispered in her ear. Emily started to cry, she felt frightened "Look I'm sorry okay, just please let me out.. you're drunk!" She said in a scared tone. Her hands and feet were shaking.

All of a sudden, the office door flung open and in stormed Jamie as he grabbed Jack around the neck. Emily put her hand on her mouth, she was frightened to see them both like this. Jamie stared in his eyes "if you've touched her.. I swear I would.." he said. Emily pulled Jamie away, pleading with him to not fight Jack. Jamie just continued to evaluate Jack, as Emily dragged him out the office and down the stairway.

When they got out of the building, Jamie wrapped his arms around Emily and stroked her hair. Emily let out a sigh of relief. He looked at her as he kissed her check "I'm sorry about the last few days, I hope we can work things out.. " he mumbled as he was cut off because Emily began kissing his lips. Emily found it a little odd how Jamie turned up out of the blue. But all and all she was pretty happy that he did because she was finally back in his arms. Oh how she missed him!

Ella opened her eyes and felt the warmth of Jared's arms around her. She had an intense feeling of happiness as she listened to his breathing. She lifted her head back on her pillow...

A few hours later, Ella woke with a start. Her eyes adjusted to the empty space beside her. She rubbed her eyes as she made her way into the kitchen. There was Jared, presenting her with two cossisants as he kissed her lips. He smiled "last night was amazing" he said with a kiss on the lips, Ella enjoyed the moment. It felt so tender, she wrapped her dressing gown around herself "I can't believe we slept together last night" she giggled nervously. Jared smirked and kept his eyes on her. She then drank a drop of coffee, then let out a sigh "I'm so sorry... I just wanted our first time to be special" she said as she stared lovingly into his deep blue eyes. He stroked the back of her head "It was special babe" he said softy as he kissed her forehead, he got out his phone and looked at her "I've got to see Tomo and Shannon about a meeting, I'll come back tonight though" he smiled. Ella buttoned up his jacket and kissed him slowly "make sure you do" she stated in a seductive whisper. Jared laughed and kissed her again as he went out of the door.

Ella's face continued to light up, she couldn't believe she spent the night with Jared, now he was her boyfriend. 'He loves me' she kept thinking as she put a turkey in the oven for dinner with her mother. Life was amazing right now, it was finally coming together.

Several hours later, Ella emerged in the sitting room, all freshly dressed. Just as she was applying more red velvet lipstick she heard Emily and Jamie barging in through the front door.

Jamie sat Emily down, who looked shaky and zoned out, and put a blanket on her. Ella scurried into the fridge to get a can of pop and then entranced into the scene, putting the drink next to Emily.

Ella thought it was Jamie's fault that Emily was like this, so she gave him a look "What happened to her? What did you do" she questioned. Jamie looked weary at Ella "Ella her boss Jack was being a prick, I gave him what for and got her out of there" he stated as he looked back at Emily, she looked back at him.

Ella sat down and grabbed Emily's hand, feeling worried for her poor sister "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry that this has happened to you.. you need to stay away from him, I mean it, never go back there" she said fiercely as she gave her a warm hug. Emily smiled and then let out a yawn.

Jamie put his arm around her and stood her up gracefully "I think I ought to put you to bed, you look knackered" he whispered as he led her to her bedroom. Ella watched and smiled at them both "Just give me a shout if you need anything" she shouted. She then got up and started dusting things down, she didn't want her mother to see any mess. 'That absolute dick' she thought angrily as she started to gather dishes up. She grinned at the thought of knocking Jack down a peg or two. She flicked the tap on and put a drop of washing up liquid in the sink "guess I will have to tell you my amazing news later Emily" she quietly said to herself. She felt so happy yet so angry at the same time.

But one thing for sure is that Emily and Jamie were heading in the right direction. Maybe soon it will start to get more serious for them...
