CHAPTER THIRTY TWO

It was the day after Mia's birth, Jared and Ella were in the hospital. They had been given the all-clear to go home.

The proud new parents were admiring their angel, who was snug in Ella's arms. She smiled "I still can't believe that she's here" she commented, feeling estatic, as she gently rocked her baby. So much had happened since last night, but it was something that they would never forget.

Jared eyes shone when he looked at Ella. He went over to her, placing a kiss on her cheek "I know.. did the sleep help?" he asked, smiling at her. Ella tried to slowly sit up, Jared then put his hand on her back to help her and put the pillow in a comfortable position. She smiled "well I only got an hour, I wanted to look at her more, how is she so perfect?" She said, tearing up. Jared laughed a little, as they both kissed. He stared at her "do you remember when you were scared to tell me you were pregnant?" Ella nodded, she then thought back to that time "yes" she replied, fully facing him. He sat in the chair, grabbing onto her hand "At first I was shocked, course I was, I didn't think I could be a parent, but looking at her now, I just want to protect her.." he said, gazing over to their baby. Ella blinked, going teary eyed "I'm an emotional mess.. she laughed, as she then lovingly gazed at Jared "you're her dad and she's lucky to have you" Ella commented, fully smiling at him. He turned to her, grinning "she's lucky to have you too... we both are" he replied, kissing Ella's hand.

They were then both drawn to their little one. Ella reached out her free hand and placed a little pink bobble hat on her head smoothly, "I think we should get her home now, I want to get her settled". Jared smirked, kissing Ella on the forehead ".. I'll get her in the car seat" he added, gently lifting her into his own arms. Ella watched him softly placing a kiss on their baby girl's head "it's time to take you home" he whispered to her, as he then slowly put her in the car seat, that was nearby.

Jared then gazed over to Ella, who was looking pale but emotionally she felt like she was on top of the world. He grabbed her underneath her elbow, helping her stand up. She was still feeling the pain of child birth and knew she would for a couple of weeks yet but she felt more happy than anything else.

She looked into his eyes, he stroked her face "you were amazing yesterday.." he stated, leaning in to kiss her. Ella felt warm inside "I couldn't have got through it without you and Emily" she replied, forming a smile. He kissed her again "it was you who went through all them hours of being in pain.. you did that, to have my baby." he said, taking it all in.

This was it. They were now going home as a family of a three.

Emily came strolling through the front door, her bag swaying side to side. She took her coat off, hanging it up and then her bag next to it. She then wandered over to the sofa, letting out a sigh as she flopped down. Last night was still effecting her, it didn't help having an appointment in the morning aswell.

Momentraily Jamie came in after parking the car, he went straight over to his wife, sitting right next to her. Emily slowly turned to face him, "it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be" she commented, hearing the sound of relief in his voice. Jamie scanned her face, "I told you it would be fine" he mentioned, thinking back to when he told her that. Emily just slowly smiled, blinking at him "and you were right" she replied, staring at her husband.

Jamie then stood up suddenly "I'm going go for a shower, care to join me?" he cheekily asked. Emily looked deeply in his eyes, she had something in mind..

When they both were in the bathroom, Emily quickly turned the shower on as Jamie was fumbling around with the towels. Least after this they would be washed and in fresh clothes. Last night was dramatic to say the least but she was over the moon for her sister. She then went over to Jamie, who now was fixated in the mirror. She giggled, as he looked at his facial hair. He laughed back "I was just thinking if I should shave this all off" he said, running his hand round his chin. Emily slowly crept to him, her hands forming around his neck "don't you dare!" She exclaimed, giggling some more as she went in for a kiss.
