"bye, ty guy." he smiled at me. "you just managed to rhyme all three of the words you just said." he was very obviously trying to stall. i didn't want to leave him, but if i brought him along he'd probably have a panic attack or some kind of mental breakdown, and i didn't want that to happen. i was doing this for my own good. half of the people there were already highly drunk or high off their fucking face already, according to brendon.

i chuckled. "yep. well, i'm going to go. bye, tyler, i love you." i smiled at him, hugging him and then quickly pecking him on the lips. i pulled away, and he frowned slightly, but he let me go anyways. "bye, love you." he said and smiled before gently pushing toward the door. i waved and he closed the door behind me. i saw brendon's car parked out front, and i ran to it, opening the door and nearly falling trying to get in.

"jesus, what took you so long?" he looked at me out of the corner of his eye as he backed up and sped down the street. "tyler. he was trying to stall." brendon nodded his head just slightly. "so, who's all gonna be there?" i raised an eyebrow at him and he squinted his eyes, trying to think. "um... me, you, pete, patrick, spencer, mikey, melanie, ashley, ryan, and... dallon." he said the last bit quietly. "oh, god. ryan and dallon in the same place? that won't end well." i raised my eyebrows and huffed as he looked at me, clearly concerned. "w-what do you mean?" he furrowed his brows and then looked forward, trying to focus on the road and have a conversation at the same time.

"ryan hates dallon, even though i'm fairly sure they've never met." i looked at him with a questioning look on my face, and he did the same. he sighed and leaned back into his seat. he didn't say anything. an awkward silence hung in the air. unfortunately, his car radio was stolen a few years back and he'd never bothered to replace it, so that wasn't an option.

"so..." i tried to break the silence but struggled to find anything to say. "um, why isn't frank going to the party?" i looked at him curiously and mentally applauded myself. he looked at me, then back at the road. "i guess his friend is in the hospital or something like that. he doesn't wanna leave him, so he's skipping the party." i smiled. "frankie's got a lover boy." brendon chuckled. "he wishes."

"i ship it."

brendon nodded in agreement as he parked down the neighborhood from the party. there were already about four cars parked near the house. we hopped out of the car and quickly paced down the sidewalk. when we got to the front porch, brendon slowed down and stopped me right before i knocked on the door.

"hey, josh?"

"hm?"

"can you, uh, can you help me like, keep ryan dallon, well... away from each other.

"yeah." i nodded. "thanks, man." brendon said and knocked on the door.
