in my thoughts
she tried to run away
but her foot got caught
on a corner in my mind
a corner built on
guilt and insecurities
i fall in love with her
or at least i fall in love
with the way she
reminds me of someone
i used to know

halfway between
two different realities
she hesitates because
alex always hesitates
and they both disappear
and now i don't know
where i'm meant to exist
