Brooklynn's POV
I finished my video with Shanna around 11:00. Joey and I have our lunch date in a hour and I didn't want to look like crap. I said bye to everyone and walked outside. Goodness, when did it get hot, I asked myself. This was most definitely not Georgia weather. I jumped in my car and felt the heat from my leather seats through my sweatpants. I made my way back to the apartment, not even thinking about getting back on the interstate. I pulled into the parking garage of my building and saw Sawyer and Joey's cars in their parking spots. I parked my car and tried to decide if I wanted to go to my apartment or to the mall across the street. I chose the mall. I walked across the street and was mesmerized by the endless supply of stores and food places. I found my favorite store and searched till I found the perfect shirt and shorts. I changed in the changing room and then looked down at my feet. Running shoes on a lunch date? Absolute not. I went to the shoe store across the walkway and found a pair of flowered Keds. They went perfectly with my shirt. After I changed shoes, I checked my phone. Time flies I thought to myself as I checked the time. It was 11:46. I realized I had my old clothes and had no where to put them. I decided that I was going to have to run back to my car and ditch them there. I went into a full sprint, dodging people and their families. I made it back to my car and threw them in. I was about to turn around and start running again when I thought of my vlogging camera. I quickly unscrewed it and ran back to the restaurant we were supposed to meet at. Settling at a table, I started to catch my breath. I was doing alot of running today. I made sure I wasn't sweaty and checked the time. It was 11:52. I honestly could have walked. I decided to vlog about it.
"Okay guys, I am at this pretty restaurant waiting for the one and only Joey Graceffa!! I had a collaboration with Shanna Malcolm this morning and it was so much fun. Look here he comes now." I said, turning the camera towards him. We were matching in shirts and shorts. He struck a pose and I started laughing. I wish Morgan was here to see this. She would have died
" Well, were gonna eat so I'll see you guys later on." I said to the lens. I put my camera away and looked at Joey. He smiled.
"So, how was breakfast this morning?" he asked, grabbing a menu. I realized at that moment I didn't eat anything today.
"We didn't eat." I then explained to Joey the same story I told Sawyer earlier today.
"Wow, that's crazier than the story I was gonna tell you. He then told me what happened when him and Sawyer were cleaning the apartment. I laughed because the girl he was describing sounded just like my roommate. We ordered our food and ate while joking about all the crap that happened today. Then the waitress came back.
"Can I get you two lovebirds anything else?" she asked. Joey and I immediately looked at each other with horror in our eyes.
"No, we're not together." we said at the same time.
"I'm with someone else." I said looking up at the waitress.
"Yeah, and I have a little crush on someone." Joey said to her."We're just friends having lunch." I nodded in agreement. She apologized and walked away.
"So," I said, putting down the money for lunch."Who's the lucky lady?"
"Don't be surprised , but its your roommate, the one that fangirled last night." I stared at him like he just said something from my roommate's fanfictions about him." Am I not allowed to like her?" he asked, putting his hands up in surrender.
"No, you can." I said as we got up from the table. We walked back to the apartment and got in the elevator. He turned towards me.
"Just don't tell her , okay? I don't want her to know yet." Even though I wanted to tell her, I promised him I wouldn't. We got off and started walking back to our places when, for the second time in two days, we bumped into Sawyer, this time shirtless with a towel over his shoulder. My heart skipped a beat. I think I love seeing him now. Maybe more.
