Tam and Dex gripped my hand as I led them through the trees, and towards the pair of trees that grew and changed as our DNA changed. They were bigger now, and mine was as dull as ever. Dex's was still the periwinkle red, and I smiled as I saw fruit growing off of the branches of his. The leaves of mine were a bright yellow, and there were brown fruits growing off mine. Tam circled my tree, letting his hand touch the bark on the trunk of the tree. That's when I noticed a charm on a branch, and I reached for it. It was a heart, and I immediately clipped it to my charm bracelet. Dex stared at his tree, before reaching up and taking one of the fruits. He examined it, before chucking it into the woods. We left, having been there long enough. Once at Havenfield, Tam pulled me into his arms and buried his face in my hair, and I wrapped my arms around his torso. He and Linh had taken up Grady's offer and moved in with us, and I could see Edaline watching us from the kitchen. Dex went home from the Wanderling Woods, presumable to help prepare the triplets for the first day of school. Tam and Linh had both decide to attend Foxfire again, which the council approved of. It would finally be safe. It would finally be peaceful. Finally.

~~~~The First Day Of School~~~~~~~
I grinned as the candy confetti rained down on us, and everybody scrambled to stuff as much as they can in their pockets. Tam and Linh were confused, but did as everybody else was doing. Linh was making use of her ability, using the water in the air to pull the confetti towards her. I smirked and used telekinesis to pull even more towards me and into my pockets, and soon it was a flurry of everyone using their abilities to fill their pockets. I grinned madly, as someone came up from behind me and lifted me up by my waist. I almost screamed, but I realized it was Grady.
"Don't do that! I thought I was getting kidnapped!" I scolded, and Grady laughed.
Having fun? Tam teased as his shadow covered my hand.
So much fun Tam. I replied, sticking my tongue out at him. I squirmed out of Grady's arms and took the head of the dragon off of me. I placed it on Grady's head, and he protested. Before he could grab me, I sprinted towards Tam. I jumped on his back, laughing when he stumbled forwards into Linh. Girls were staring at me, since Tam was the new 'eye candy' of the school. He was new, he was mysterious, and he was the only Shade. Take that back. But still, I could see the jealousy in their eyes as Tam laughed and kissed my cheek. Fitz was off to the side, talking with Biana and Dex. I was so glad that they finally got along.
"Tam? Bam? Tammy? Tamlam?" I said jokingly, as Tam scowled. "Are you excited?" I said.
"Yeah, but all these girls are staring at me." He whined.
"Because you're cute." I stated firmly, and he rolled his eyes.
"No, I think it's because I'm new."
"No, you're cute. Actually, I'll leave you, and at lunch you tell me if they still stare at you. Because maybe it's me. I mean it's kinda weird to have 6 abilities." I said, rambling.
"Don't leave me!" He whined, and I laughed.
"Alright." I said, smiling.
"We should disappear." He said quietly, smirking. I nodded, and together we made ourselves and Linh disappear behind shadows, and everybody stared at where we used to be. I saw Jensi, and he came barrelling towards us, running into us.
"Oomph." He said. "What did I run into?" He muttered. I laughed and Tam and I let the shadows go.
"Whoa! Wait but I thought that you could see through shadows when you're close to them.
"Not when it's me and Tam working together. And I don't have gloves on." I said, smirking and wiggling my gloveless fingers. I reached for my gloves, slipping them on.
