Chapter 5 |

Ryder

I watched as Li slept and let out a sad sigh. I said I wouldn't get hurt, but it hurts now, knowing she didn't answer. Probably to save my feelings.

I heard her phone begin to ring so I looked and saw it was an emergency. I hesitated in waking up Li before shaking her lightly. She groaned turning and hiding into the cover. "Li, love, there's trouble."

She frowned and shot up making me shoot back. "I gotta get ready," she muttered rushing up and I knew she was still tired. I sighed, not understanding why she tired herself this much. Soon she knocked and came in dressed in  black leather jeans, a black crop top, a knife in a sheath by her hip, high heeled boots that no doubt also had a knife in each, and her hair was in a wig with straight hair. She took her phone and checked the time before turning to me her eyes still filled with tiredness.

"You wanna come with?" I smiled and stood up heading to put my own disguise on. I put on some skinny jeans, a hoodie, and added make-up a bit to hide certain things. I added in contacts, and did the best I could to hide. I took my own sword and she nodded when she saw me her own beautiful eyes changed with contacts.

"Do we need the other's?" She shook her head and we ran off being quiet and taking our hidden route. When we arrived I saw about ten people loading guns, another twenty-something loading bombs, and some hostages - thirty-something at the very least.

"I get the hostages out?" She nodded and then shot off being silent somehow. I admired her for a second before walking off and dropping as silently as I could in the pit. They gasped when they saw me and I held a finger to my lips.  They nodded and looked grateful. I took my time to get everyone out and soon they all stood in a circle quietly where I had them. I lead them out and soon they all ran off but a girl stopped taking my head and kissing me. I pushed her back and she smirked. "Thanks," she turned and ran away and I frowned confused.

Soon I was back in and saw Ok waiting for me. She glanced at me then glanced back out and I stood by her to see what she was doing. Soon she nodded and shot down and grabbed a guy by the neck.

She looked him in the eyes letting out a hum. She spun around and soon the fight began. I jumped down and began to help, soon we were done and we snuck away and when we were home she left me alone.

I frowned wondering why she seemed distant.  I went and changed hiding my disguise and then got dressed for school. I stayed with the bad boy look and walked downstairs seeing Li in a dress and making breakfast.

I started helping her and she smiled at me before humming to the music playing.  Soon everyone was downstairs and eating the food.  "How do you cook this well?" Jimmy asks as he scarfed down his food. Li glared at him and I took a rag wacking him with it. "Hey!"

"Eat slow, Jimmy! You are going to choke!" I say mimicking Li's voice. He chuckled and Li grinned setting down her whipped cream and kissing my cheek.

Jimmy began to eat slowly and everyone else laughed. Soon Jimmy stopped and kissed my cheek too, as everyone laughed. "Thanks for the food, Liz," he said walking away after kissing Li and we all laughed.

I sat down where he was and Li sat on my lap placing whipped cream, caramel, and syrup in her pancakes and she began to eat. After awhile everyone but Mason, Jackson, Blake, Nick, and I were were gone excluding Li. Soon her phone rang and she pulled it out her lips forming a smile. "Okie dokie, Fish, I'll tell them," she hung up and looked at us.

"Fish wants he and I to have a day off, so I am going to ditch school, but later we are all going to go out. But he wants the Cullen's to come too so he can meet them. Is that okay?"

Nick smiled nodding, "Yeah, we'll meet you later." We all stood up and headed to school.
