Chapter 16 | Nomad Vampire

I ran through the woods searching for food through my vampire sense. I heard struggling, causing me to stop and I immediately stopped turning to run through the woods. I saw a girl, struggling to rise up, I rushed over helping her out and taking her in my arms and raising her to the ground before trying to help her. I thought about hurting her, but slowly decided to bite her as heartbeat slowed drastically. I picked her up, forgetting my hunt, taking off running through the woods, I masked my and her scent, before taking refuse in a cave where I killed animals. I laid down and held her hand, hoping she would make it -- it was time I had a companion.

It had been well past the usual three days it usually takes to change, going onto a month -- yet still I never gave up for her heart continued to beat. I only told her my memories, stories, and finally she gasped shooting up. I stood up calmly and she stared at me, with beautiful violet eyes that caused a gasp to come from me. "What?" She asks in shock turning around in quick speed, before turning to me. "You are Daniel, right? That's what you told me?"

I nodded, still in shock. She laughed, my heart feeling as if it beat for a second, before she sat down. "I don't remember much, it's like my memories are locked  behind a door -- so I can't really tell you much. However, I do remember that my name is Elizabelle. . . I think, I keep getting way to many things. I wish I could tell you more though, but my memories are so vague that all I can seem to remember is how to speak, movements, sometime's faces and names, nothing much more."

"Well, that is common," I say sitting down. She nodded standing up before I had even sat down looking out at the view.

"Why does my heart hurt?" She asks as the sun set, seeming to radiate feelings of such confusion, wonder, and even a little pain.  "My heart, it just hurts. My mind, feels as if I need to remember and yet I can't!"  I rushed up catching her as she seemed frustrated, as she kicked something causing it to break.  "That's me, it's my reasoning," she muttered in astonishment, as the rock pieces seemed to form together, seeming to mold together

"Who are you?" I ask myself wondering the same as we stared out at the nature. "Uh, we need to have you hunt before anything else happens," she nodded and we took off. "Animals or humans?"

I remembered then that she probably hadn't a clue of who she was, and was about to elaborate when she answered. "Humans and animals," I hesitated, before nodding. She took off, finding an animal, she calmed it down, running her hands over his fur, before biting into the neck. As she pulled away, she seemed to be able to heal it, shocking me -- later doing so again as she did the same to a human, after one month as she switched between diets.

Within two years later, she and I had been great friends -- our bond wasn't to great, but it was still amazing. Liz made friends with just about everyone, animals, humans, and vampire's alike. Liz held my hand, as we walked into a club, a vampire club she had fixed. Suddenly she gasped, holding her heart before falling back. I caught her, and saw  faraway look in her features. When she pulled away she looked at me with fear, before taking off. Stay. I hesitated, but nonetheless following her voice.

Elizabelle

I walked into the club, pulling Dan with me, when my heart ached in the same familiarity I always got with Dan. Then something happened, and I gasped as my head ached.

I laughed, feeling someone twirl my hand. "So what's your name, then?" I turned over seeing the same guy who had been staring at me.

"Call me Lizsa," I say, looking into his eyes. He smiled shaking my hand.

"Daniel," he responded, kissing my hand causing me to laugh.  He and I spoke, the two of us talking all night before exchanging numbers. He was normal, dealing with little problems, and I hoped to keep in touch with him, which we did. He was someone who helped a lot more than I bet he ever did.

I came back, pulling away from Daniel, seeing that he was Dan, the one I buried. I took off, hoping he would stay, as I ran my body gliding through the crowd. I finally just stopped at the fact that my heart hurt and still felt better. I heard a lullaby, somewhere in the background and my body seemed to be taken away.

I watched a little girl, sitting at a piano, she smiled leaning up against a boy around my age. He had bronze hair, gold eyes, and a smile that showed off so much love for the little girl. He played a tune on the piano, and I looked into his eyes as he stared up, and thousand more images flashed through my mind of time's with him. "I am always going to love you my beautiful damsel, always love you my beautiful princess," he whispered, his hand holding onto the girl's, looking down in sadness as he held on, then let go. I had felt my heart ache, then he let me go. "I have my knight in shining armor," the little girl spoke, in a whisper as if she were assuring herself. "Always," he replied in a promising voice -- my heart ached in pain, as I let out a pained sound.

Suddenly, I came back, and I gasped wanting for my heart to stop hurting, but it didn't. It continued, as the wind blew past my hair and I remembered something else -- or rather someone else. A man with blonde hair, the same gold eyes, and a smile laughed as he drove a girl in his car. They spoke, the girl seeming in deep thought as she told how rushing past without "smelling the roses" so to speak wasn't always fun even if it so seemed. He smiled lovingly at her, and suddenly it changed once more, as I felt pain.

Scars appeared in my vision, before another person showed, he smiled at me and I felt so much love. He moved his hand through the same young girls' hair, calling her Giggles, as she talked on about the magic that not everyone sees. I whimpered, his pain clear to me, as I saw so many more even after I came back. Then it all stopped, as an arm was on my shoulder, causing me to turn and see Jasper, he looked worried and shocked slowly cupping my cheek. "Liz," he whispered as I looked around seeing everyone. I saw, Nic, Mason, Jackson; I saw them all, and what hurt was that they were clearly vampires -- newborns.
