Epilogue -- Jasper Whitlock

Pain - doler. Creer - believe. Stop - para. Hope. . . .  Don't.

Memories of pain, of me taking away life, it flashed my mind. How satisfied I felt to be powerful, how I could snap their neck. . . Don't.

How when I sunk my teeth through their pulse, it was amazing. I was their death. . . Don't.

How I could make even the strongest and fearless of men cry and fear, beg. . . Jasper, enough.

I reminisced the feel of their thrashing, their attempts giving up very rare until I had them dead. . . Jasper!

I jumped, attacking the brood of a man and chuckling darkly. "Hey there, youngen," I spoke my tone dark.

"Let me go, mate!" he pushed me off with little strength seeming shocked when that didn't work. He pushed me harder, before growling in anger and punching me. As soon as his hand punched mine, he shouted in pain, his hand having broke. "The bloody hell are?"

I chuckled. "Great choice of words, youngen," I bent down biting into his neck hearing him scream.

"Jasper! Fuck," I heard Edward say, before I was pulled away and I growled making a move to attack him, he quickly ran to me jumping as I did and evading my attack. He quickly pinned me down pushing down against me. "Stop this, Jasper," he muttered breathing against me while I glared at him, breathing heavily in anger.

"Ya listen 'ere, youngen: either get the heck off me or I will kill you," I growled, my eyes undoubtedly black. I needed this, I need to forget.

"No, you think Liz would want this for you? If you're going to feed off of  humans then at least have control! Now he's over there yelling about being on fire, do you remember what that feels like. He has a daughter -- who he loves, who is getting married!" Edward got up rushing over and sucking on the prey's neck, before making him fall asleep as he dressed the wounds. "The last thoughts I heard, were prayers that may his child be okay and he join his love."

I turned away and heard his steps near me as he crouched down sitting by me. "Fuck, what's wrong with me, Edward?" I leaned back as if I had a headache, feeling pain in my chest. I just broke -- again. Like I have so many time's without my Giggles here. "How are ya stayin' so strong?"

"I'm not Jasper, I was drinking that guys blood and almost didn't stop -- but I remembered my Damsel, remembered Nessie. I don't think either of them would want to see me broken, surely not see you. Jasper, she loves you; you know that as well as I do. You can't give up on her yet, neither of us will," he squeezed my shoulder standing up and leaving. I looked at the body, before standing up and beginning run away to hunt. I needed time a lone.

A month later, I came home seeing the all welcome me back; however they were probably to preoccupied with the scene that was occurring to think of what I had done. "I'm not her!" Liz screamed, who came down from the stairs bringing everyone's attention to them as Ryder followed.

"Dammit, Liz, I know that! Quit telling me you aren--" Liz cut him off by slapping him with tears in her eyes shocking everyone, by their feelings.

"You don't get it," her voice was week, almost worn out. Sick. "I'm not Liz, not her -- I'm not the person you all know. You all loved. I'm not your 'Lee', Edward's damsel and princess, I'm Giggles, I have no f-ing clue to who I am, but I am not your Liz," bodies began to fall, and Ryder stared at her as Nick gasped.

"Don't you think we know that?" Jimmy collapsed bringing down a table, though neither of the two seemed to notice. "Elizabeth, ours died. She's gone. But she always believed that when she burned a new one arrived -- for better or worse it's the soul that decides. Pick the right choice, my angel. . ."

Just as said, Ryder fell back through the window and I remembered Liz doing the same, he fluttered his eyelids closed, before muttering foreign words, and his body hit the floor. "No!" ELizabelle shot out the window landing beside him and cupping his cheek. She began to try to wake him as he stayed silent, and then it became apparent. This was exactly what I had done when Liz had fell out the window those years ago.

I jumped after her body, something holding me back as I yelled for her to come back. "She needs to choose whether to rise or fall, Ares," the voice whispered before I finally landed by her body seeing a mark on her skin slowly fad away. However, a mark stayed. . .

A symbol of fire stained Ryder's chest, and though it had had Elizabelle's name. "No, God. . . no," Liz spoke breaking out to sobs, head on his chest. A body fell down once more and Nick appeared by her.

"Calm down, Lizia. You're killing them . . .putting them in a coma.  Calm down, beautiful," she shoo her head, sobbing.

"It hurts, why? Why does it fucking hurt?" Nick touched her when he flew back.  Whisper to your Shadow.

"Who can help her? Everyone's down?" Emmett spoke as Esme, Rose, and even Alice collapsed.

"It's the fact that their ties aren't as strong as ours to her. She needs a tie to memory," Blake whispered, clutching his head in pain.

I walked up, touching Liz's head. "Shadow, love. Calm down," she looked at me, shock in her eyes, as she sniffed, her eyes filling with recognition.

"Major?" She wrapped her arms around me and I gasped, feeling all my long lost memories come back to me. "It hurts a lot, Jasper. What is going on?"I pulled away, staring in her eyes as she gasped, cupping my cheeks a smile forming her cheeks as she slowly stopped crying, everyone's pain leaving.

Then I realized, turning to Edward, Carlisle, Peter, Mason, Jackson, and Adam -- the only few left awake. "She's been dragged down to forgotten memories -- she doesn't remember much . . .she doesn't remember I died. . .that she did," Liz, Shadow, began to slowly collapse in my arms.

"What the heck do you mean?" Mason asks walking forward careful for all the -- floating -- bodies.

"She was dragged down, she said she wouldn't let people drag her down anymore but she was."

"So then what happens now?" I turned to Carlisle, meeting his eyes.

"I don't know," I whisper as Liz began to seem to almost change and at the same time took the same -- she became Shadow.
