A/N: so this is my first story so you can except my bad writing. This is a story about Percy Jackson and his friends w/ some new characters, ill try to stay as close to Rick's story and im on the son of neptune so dont spoil anything for me! any who dont tell me "thats impossible this happened in the book not that!" cuz i really dont care. And enough chitchat lets get to the story.

Percy's P.O.V

Its been a while and I think the horn should have blown for dinner, something must be up. As I casually walk out of my cabin I see my girlfriend Annabeth. She sees me and walks over.

"Hey Seaweed brain" She says
"hey wise girl" I relpy

"is it just me or should the dinner horn have blown by now" annabeth says

She took the words right out of my mouth. "Yeah I was hoping it wasn't just me" I state
"do you want to check the perimeter of camp with me to see if every thing is alright" She asked

"Sure" I say

(at the perimiter)

"Nothing seems out of the ordinary" I say
"Wait a sec!" she yell/whispers

I look where she is staring, theres a person a kid it looks like. They are jogging towards us, towards the camp border.

"no way" I say in shock

I can see them a little better now, a little girl maybe 9 or 10, and I realized she wasn't jogging she was running. Annabeth must have seen it too considering the started to get up from our hiding spot and was gaining speed to the little girl. As instinct i followed her, I mean i didn't nickname her wise girl for nothing.

"wait up" I yell to her

"shes running, shes gotta be running from something" She replied

As I thought about it she was right so I pulled out my pen, I know I know 'percy why do you carry around a pen' I clicked and my pen turned into my sword I like to call riptide 'oh'. Annabeth pulled out her bronze knife.

"How do you think she found out about us?"
"Im not sure"

She was about 20 yards from us now when she saw us and screamed "Help me, please" she said between heavy breaths
I tried to calm her down but as always annabeth proved to be better at that than me "its ok, your safe now what are you running from"

she was starting to calm down then she heard her question "the monster chasing me" she replied wide eyed

I looked at annabeth and she stared at me. "what did that monster look like?" she asked

"well its really tall and its covered in fur with what looks like blood on it and-"

"How did you find this place?" I cut her off

she gulped "I cant say" "why not?" annabeth asks
"Because she told me not to-" *gasp she covers her mouth
"Who told you not to?" I said
"Percy, we have bigger problems" annabeth says while her shaky hand points to the distance

Thats when I saw it a seven foot tall dog/horse/tiger/chetah hybrid. The little girl screamed, which probably got the attention of Mr. D and Chiron.

A/N: So? is it good I know its just the begining and a little boring plus the cliffhanger and Im sorry. Just live with it and im gonna start writing the next chapter right after I post this one.
