Chapter 17

Leo's P.O.V.

It's hard enough having a girlfriend, but it's even harder losing her. Percy isn't doing much better. He just found out he had a little sister, so he's very intent on getting her back. Annabeth and Grover are holding the group together, barely. Me, on the other hand, have to sit helpless while I heal.

Callie is out there all alone. Because I was weak and got caught, and Nico has his own reasons too. I need to get her back to safety ASAP. It's hard to think about loosing her, I'm just focused on getting her back. Grover has been getting the help from his little critter friends, searching the globe for Callie. Annabeth has been scouring her knowledge for anything that might be use full. Percy and I have been making plans for her search. We began to think about if we should Iris message back to camp and tell Chiron about Callie. After we consider that, we realize that Callie and Chiron don't exactly get along too well.

"Do you think we could get a hold of her through Iris message?" Percy said randomly

"Don't you think i've already tried that. She doesn't show up anywhere." i reply

"So what do we do then. Just wait for some sort of sign to tell us where they're keeping her." Percy asks

"We may not have to." Annabeth said

"Did you find her?" I ask quickly

"No, but I think i know how." she said to me

"Go on." Grover said

"Nico and I were talking on the way to get you, Leo, and he said something about an ancient creature reforming in the underworld. And apparently she had followers. He said her name was Lamia. I looked her up and she was a child devouring demon. Her story has many sides, some say that she was a queen that went crazy and ate her children then kept the habit, others say Hera forced her to eat her children with some sort of curse. Then there are the stories saying Zeus gave her the ability to take out her eyes, why i'm not sure. Then she became an oracle and went crazy, then she was cursed too see her dead children." She explained (A/N: this is the info i got from a website so I'm not sure if it is up to date or not.)

"Nico said that he didn't want somebody to kill him. I can remember that much." I say

"Leo you should get some rest we need to leave in the mornin-"

"Just because I am now the youngest doesn't mean that I'm gonna sit on the sidelines. Now, where are we starting our search." i cut Annabeth off

"Okay then." Grover said

"Lamia had some history with mount Tam and a beach so I guess that's our best bet."

We started our journey to the beach. At some way down the beach and finding nothing. I soon trip on a backpack, a familiar backpack.

"Is that?" Annabeth says

"That's her bag." Percy says helping me up

"Callie said she left her bag outside, we're here." I say gaining speed to the shed.

We eventually broke the door open and walked into a small group of monsters. They all tried to fight them and I got distracted and started looking for Callie. She's not here. I walk back to see if the others found anything and Percy has a monster of some sort pinned to a wall.

"Where is the daughter of Poseidon!?!'' Percy shouted in its face

"You ignorant demigods." The monsters voice rumbled

"Where is she?" Percy asks again

"How do you not see? We had her moved." The monster answered

After that Percy started to hit the monster uncontrollably until it turned to dust. It took Annabeth, Grover, and Me to restrain him. I would have done the same, but he beat me to it.
