Chapter 13

Leo's P.O.V.

I'd never been very good at sword fighting, probably never will beat my girlfriend. I know that sounds pathetic but it's true, I Leo Valdez can't beat my girlfriend at a sword fight. But she's got an arm. I mean she can through a spear sword and an arrow (with out the bow) and hit a bullseye on the first try. That sounds a bit far fetched now that I think about it but I aint lying. I was brought out of my thoughts by my one and only Callie.

"Hey." she said poping a kiss on my cheek

"Hey." I reply

"Do you want to go to the range." she asks

"Do you really want to know." I said

"I take that as a no." she says

" So what do you want to do then." she says again

"We can go to the forge?" I say putting an arm around her, she laughed

"Your kidding fire boy.'' she said

"I told you to come up with a better name for me Cal."

"ooh flamy's got a temper" she says turning to face me

''Not a chance."I say kissing her quickly

We walk off to no where in specific, me cracking jokes all the way there, she would at least smile to them even if they weren't funny. I always liked that about her, no matter how horrible the joke she would at least smile. I must try to crack her politeness she cant laugh at them all.

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" I asked

"That is seriously the oldest joke, ever." she says to me smiling, darn cant do it shes just to nice. Before i could reply Percy came up to us.

"Hey guys, when do you think we should leave since Nico came back?" he asks. I wrap my arm around Callie again ready to reply.

"We are ready when you are." I say pulling her close to me, no reason really, its just a joke of ours. We are supper protective of eachother, especially me.

"Okay we'll leave tomorrow then." he says and walks off. The dinner horn goes off

"See you at the campfire." she says, I kiss her on the cheek.

"bye." i say

After dinner there weren't any activities so we all had 3 hours to ourselves, well except the campfire. As soon as dinner was dismissed i got to Callie as fast as I could, again another joke of ours. We always see who can get to the other first.

"Boo." I hear, spinning around to face grinning Callie.

"Gotcha." she says putting a hand through my messed up hair, she moved it around a bit more and said

"You do have a brush, right."

"As a matter a fact I do." I reply

"C'mon as our last night free from the quest we are going for a walk." I say

"We are?" she asks, I tug at her hand leading her to the beach.

"Um, I think this spot is already taken." she says pointing to Percy and Annabeth walking along the shore line.

"Okay, on to plan b." I say taking her over to the forest.

"What are we doing here?"  Callie asks

"You, are going to tell me about where you are from, and ill tell you my story." I say leaning against a tree

"Okay, I grew up with my dad until I was three, and at that age came here. Being kept from pretty much every thing by Chiron, I eventually convinced him to let me start training, at the age of 6.  Annabeth only being three years older than me was my I guess you could call training buddy. But unfortunately when I was 8 I couldn't handle Chiron any more and Arin was leaving too so that's where our journey began together. Now, your turn." she explained

"Not much to tell really I grew up with my mom never telling me who my dad was, um having some encounters with Hera, don't ask. All seemed well until I was 8." I say taking a break

"What happened when you were 8?" she asks taking my hand in hers, she knew that made me feel better. Why? I have no idea but I looked back up to her blue eyes.

"I got my mom killed, burned the whole workshop down." I say feeling a single tear falling down my cheek. she wraps her arms around me holding me close.

"I'm sorry Leo." she says into my chest                                  "I know how it feels to loose somebody close to you. But I wasn't that young."

"Its fine I'm kind of getting over it." I say this was the first time we had both been emotional together. But what better night to than the night before a quest.

"Leo?" she asks looking back up at me      "Can you promise me something?"

"Sure, what am I promising?" I ask

"Make sure this quest doesn't' change anything between us okay, nothing at all." she says staring right into my eyes

"I promise." I say kissing her lightly on the forehead

"We should go, its almost curfew."  she says releasing her hold, but still holding my hand  "C'mon"

"Off to the campfire we go." I say

Pretty boring campfire to say the least I wasn't excited to go to sleep but of course the dryads would kill me if I stayed out to long so I went to my cabin. As I lay on my bunk staring up, I remembered my talk with Callie, she has lost somebody too. I need to ask her that tomorrow if I remember, then again its a touchy subject for me so I wont cross any boundaries. We only were dating almost 2 months now.

A/N: Heyy you guys this is a longer chapter and i'm hoping to make the rest of them this long, so im getting into the EXTREME typing stage right now so I have like 1000 words on this one yayay alright im tired night
