Chapter 14

Callie's P.O.V.

I woke up around 6:00 to get ready for my quest, again. I always woke up around this time, but today I was especially dreading. Days like this were the worst, when I got comfortable, I have to leave. I looked around my cabin one last time. looking at my half siblings once more. Walking back out to the top of halfblood hill, I see I'm the first one out, again. It reminded me of when I was here last.

I waited next to Arin's cot. He told me that I can't go and that he'll come with me. He couldn't walk, barely could sit up, but he's still very persistent. Now Arin was who knows where off in some forest. I remember crying a bit, of all we had been through together it was weird not having him around. But now I knew it was time for us to split up. I grew up with him always being by me. He is the one to teach me how to fight, he taught me to survive on my own with little surroundings. Now he was gone, and there was nothing i could do about it. Leo brought me out of my thoughts taking my hand in his.

"Hey Cal." he says

"Hi," i say with hardly any emotion

"You dont seem all here right now." he says putting his head on my shoulder

"Just thinking." i say

Leo's P.O.V.

This was it my last chance for us to be alone, I have to ask her my curiosity is overwhelming.

"Callie?" i ask preparing myself

"Yeah bud?" she says staring off into the distance

"Do you remember when we talked last night, and you said you lost somebody two, may I ask who that was?" i say getting it all out

"Do you really want to know?" she says "Okay, i lied a bit."

"When i ran away with Arin there were three of us, his name was Nix, he was Arin's age. We were fighting a monster, one day and he pushed Arin out of the way and told us to run, h-he said, he said to get me out of there while he could." she stopped, i realized it was a bad idea and put my arm around her.

"Hey, its fine you dont need to go on, your fine." i said, she layed her head on my shoulder

"How did you force yourself to get up this early?" she asked

"I just wanted to ask you." i say, we stood there for a few minuets of silence. After everybody got there we set out for Long Island beach.

We were walking through a forest to avoid mortals, I kept hearing rustling in the leaves. Eventually they all heard it too. We began to spread out our walking, and before I knew it I was face to sword with somebody I couldn't see very well. As it looked we all had somebody with a weapon pointed. Callie was standing next to me and muttered something that sounded like 'Grace' and her pointer replied 'Williams'

"Its okay everybody, just some old so called friends." Callie said walking back like it was nothing.

"Fall back." She said

"Look Thalia, I said no once, do I really need to say it again?" Callie said annoyed

"Thalia ?'' Annabeth said

''Annie? Kelpface?" 'Thalia' replied walking over, they hugged yada yada

"Well, if you don't mind I'll be going then." Callie said walking off, they aimed their bows a her, immediately my hands caught fire. Told you I was protective.
