WOW! X Chapter 17

I woke before him and just lay there watching him sleep. He was truly, truly beautiful. He opened his eyes slowly and caught me staring and smiled at me. I kissed him gently.

"Hi baby, are you ready to take your girlfriend home to meet the rest of the family today?"

He replied with a small smile which quickly faded so I jumped at the chance to distract him from remembering that he was pissed off with me.

"Hayley made us a gift. She said we have to open it together," I said pulled the box over.

He nodded for me to open it.

Inside there was a big black leather book wrapped in crepe paper. I struggled to get it out of the box so he sat up to help me.

I pulled it out and embossed on the front in gold was 'WOW! X' she must have remembered from my confession that drunken night.

I looked at him and he raised his eye brows and moved closer to get a better look.

I opened it and there filling the entire first page was an A4 size picture of me and Shane at the party, it was when he had his arms wrapped around me and kissed my cheek as I leaned into him. Our first moments captured on film. We looked like a couple in love having a private moment when we thought no one was looking. It was perfect and a lump rose in my throat.

I turned the page and there it was our first kiss. Both of us with our eyes closed and our lips joined it what was obviously a fantastic kiss.

I flicked to the next page. It was when I'd kissed him back. My hands cradling his face and kissing him as his hands held me close and in the process part of my top had moved up and his hand was on the bare skin. It was a smoking hot picture, full of passion. No wonder Jessica had flipped and screamed 'How dare you kiss him like that'. It couldn't have been better if I'd tried.

I shook my head as tears blurred my sight; they were happy tears, shocked but very happy tears.

Shane pulled me close to him and we sat back in the bed, ready to turn the next page together. The book was filled with pictures of us during our stay.

Shane carrying me to the river over his shoulder. Throwing us both in. My splashing him. Our laughter and kisses in the water. Pictures of us around the house looking lovingly at each other or random kisses. One of me cuddled up on his lap. Pictures of us kissing like that were very intimate and obviously taken by Hayley the spy when we thought we were along. It was another reminder that I love first base!

A zoomed in shot of just our hands, linked together, fingers entwined. A beautiful shot of Shane looking at me across the market square and my looking back. All zoomed in perfectly so we could see the emotion in the eyes. There was no doubt it was love.

A picture of us lying on the river bank, asleep in each others arms. Mucking about together, giggling and kissing in the field and under a huge tree, when we had a picnic. Dancing together in the court yard on his second night here. Shane could Salsa! A wonderful shot of Shane serenading me and our kiss afterwards. Pictures of kisses, lots of kisses!

They were beautiful. Each and everyone picture. Beautiful! Our love captured forever on film and it was the best present I had ever received. I couldn't have posed for shots better. As for Shane, if this is what outsiders saw I couldn't help but envy them. I would have loved to have seen us from afar as I could see so clearly that we are crazy about each other. I was so grateful to my friends for capturing those moments for us.

I looked at Shane, "I love it!" I said tears still filling my eyes.

"Me too," he said and pulled my chin up as he placed a kiss on my lips.
