WOW! X Chapter 22

A few weeks later we had another scan as they wanted to see how the babies were growing. We took Austin with us as he cried when I was leaving and that grew into a full blown tantrum, which much to Shane's horror I gave into and pleaded to take him with us.

We were now four and a half months gone and had a definite pregnancy bump, still small but definitely preggers. I was carrying it mainly in my back so I could still see my woman bits and feet.

Austin sat on Shane's knee at the hospital and was very confused when I popped my top up and the woman put jelly on it.

"Why she drawing on your belly?" he asked.

"I'm using this special wand to see the babies," she explained. "Do you want to have a go?" she asked.

He nodded and jumped down to go around and sit on her knee. He moved it around where she said and I laughed as it was so adorable.

"Ok let's see on the telly," she said and moved the screen around.

"Ooooo" he said. "Babies," his little mouth hanging open.

Shane and I were so busy laughing that for a minute we forgot that our babies were on the monitor. When we did we smiled at each other quickly and then looked straight back so as not to miss anything.

"Ok let's have a look," the radiographer said. "Can you count the babies for me?

"Yep," he said and counted as she steered his hand around. "Baby 1, baby 2, baby 3. Three babies," he said.

"Very good," she praised him.

"Hehehe look at their big fat bellies," he laughed. We all joined in.

"Can you see their faces?" she asked.

"Yep, they have eyes, nose, lips," he announced very proud of himself.

"Very good. And do you see the arms and legs?" she asked.

"Yes they have toes and fingers too. Heee heee!" he squealed in excitement.

"Do you see that little thing black thing flickering, that is their hearts beating," She said.

"Ahhhh" he said and looked at Shane with excitement. "What's their names?" he asked.

"We don't know yet as we don't know if they are boys or girls? Does mummy and daddy want to find out what they are so they can pick names?" she asked.

"Yes," Austin said.

"Is that true?" she asked us.

I looked at Shane who nodded. "Yeah," I agreed and got all excited.

Shane held my hand. He was excited too.

"Ok Austin lets wriggle this over here," she said and moved it over. A long minute later and helping Austin hold it still whilst she pressed some buttons she announced "Baby 1 is a boy."

Shane and I looked at each other and smiled proudly as she scanned around for the next one.

"Baby 2 is another boy," she announced.

"Yay," Austin cheered and we all laughed.

She scrolled around on my belly trying to get baby 3 who was having none of it.

"Please be a girl or she will kill me," Shane mumbled and I giggled.

"Baby 3 is crossings its legs so I can't see. Hold on lets move over here a bit. Daddy put your hand here to stop it moving," she said and Shane put his hand where she asked as I automatically blocked the other side of my belly. It was trapped.
