Memory Loss?

Skylar'sPOV

I groaned as I opened my eyes. My head was killing me! I rubbed my forehead as I sat up I noticed my surroundings. I'm on a bed. And it's not my bed. My bed was not near this comfortable and I didn't have satin sheets. Wasn't my bed. Not my room. My room isn't white. Where am I? What happened?

"You're awake."

The voice startled me and I jumped slightly, making me groan and clench my eyes shut due to the pain I was in. I didn't recognize the voice, making my wolf go into a defense mode.

"Easy.." the voice told me as a hand rested on my arm and pushed me softly on to the bed. I laid back down and re-opened my eyes and turned to see a guy that looked around my age sitting in a chair. He was looking at me with concern.

"Where am I?" I asked him.

I didn't trust him. But something about him was friendly. I could take him if he were to attack. He didn't look like he could really fight and he seemed really relaxed. He had dark hair and was semi cute, in a boyish sort of way.

The boy grinned. "The pack house, Luna!"

Pack house? Luna?

"Who are you?"

"I'm Brandon, Xavier's beta's brother. Xavier would be here right now but his dad had needed to speak to him urgently about some rogues," he explained.

"Who's Xavier?"

Brandon's chocolate eyes grew wide. "You must have lost your memory!"

Okay... I must've hit my head pretty hard but I doubt I lost my memory. I could still remember meeting Xander. That thought alone brought a smile to my face.

Brandon was going on and on about me losing my memory but I quit listening as I smelled the most amazing scent. Xander.

About that time the door flew open revealing a very worried looking Xander who rushed to my side.

"Skylar! Are you okay? What happened?"

"I'm fine, my head just hurts bad. As for what happened... I don't remember."

"She lost her memory!" Brandon cried out, frantically waving his arms and pacing.

I had to suppress a giggle. He looked ridiculous. He reminded me of how Cheyenne was acting earlier when she thought I was on drugs. Xander looked over at him.

"What happened to her?" he demanded.

Brandon froze. He looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"Uh..um...you see...uh...I...um...I...I.. don't know...." he said sheepishly.

Xander sighed in annoyance. "What's your name?"

"Brandon Meyers. Ash Meyers brother."

"Brandon, go out to the hall. I need to speak to you," he commanded Brandon. Brandon nodded then basically dashed out of the room. Xander turned his attention to me and spoke softly. "I need to talk to Brandon, I'll be back," he said. I nodded and I watched him walk out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

Xander'sPOV

My wolf and I were horrified that someone hurt our mate. I just got outside to meet her when my brother mind linked me telling me she was injured and that I needed to get to his pack house.

"So, how did she get here?" I asked Brandon.

He looked nervous. Like he was going to get yelled at.

"Alpha Xavier was out on a run and he saw her laying on the ground on the edge of the woods unconscious. He brought her back here to the pack house and explained to Ash, his beta, and I that she is his mate. He and Ash had to go take care of something so they asked that I watch over her."
She was unconscious? Who knocked her out? Why did they knock her out?

"I think she lost her memory," he told me.

I looked at him questioningly. "What makes you think that?"

"She didn't know who Alpha Xavier is."

That's right..she hasn't actually met him. Thank God. I need to get her out of here and far far away from him before he could try to take her from me.

I nodded. "Thanks for looking after her, I'll take her home."

"Glad to be of service!" he saluted and marched off.

I chuckled to myself. That kid is something. Nice enough. He was nothing like Ash. Ash was pretty cold and quite lethal. That kid looked like he couldn't even harm a fly. I was anxious to get back to my mate.I walked back in and saw Skylar sleeping peacefully. She looked like an angel. So perfect. So sweet and innocent. Who would want to hurt her? Why would they? I didn't get it.
