Only Time Will Tell

SKYLAR'S POV

I clutched my head in my hands as I watched the two brothers stare each other down.

It didn't really occur to me that this would happen.

"Skylar, we don't expect you to choose tonight," Xander mumbled, sitting beside me and rubbing circles on my back.

"BS!" Xavier hissed, earning a glare from his twin.

"I refuse to share my mate any longer!"

"She needs time!" Xander insisted.

Xavier threw his hands above his head in exasperation. "Again with this time business!"

"Guys," I mumbled trying to gain their attention.

Soon two pairs of striking eyes were staring at me and I felt unnerved.

"I do need time to get to know the two of you, I wasn't expecting this."

"Surely you knew that this love trio thing wouldn't work, right?" Xavier drawled, looking at me with an almost bored expression.

I felt my face heat up. "Actually.."

"God, Skylar. Were you living in fantasy land?"

That's exactly where I was living.

"Uh.."

He smacked his open palm against his forehead. He facepalmed. He actually facepalmed. Am I that stupid?

"What? Did you think when we mate it was going to be a threesome?!"

That's it. My face was officially brighter than Rudolph's nose.

"Um..." I stammered.

"Xavier! Knock it off!" Xander commanded, his face slightly tinted red.

Xavier just rolled his eyes. "Just choose soon so you can begin training to be the Luna of my pack."

"What makes you think she'll choose you?"

"For one, I'm older. Two, I'm smarter. Three, I'm better looking. Plus I have to whole sexy bad boy thing going for me. I'm the obvious choice."

Xander snorted. "We are twins you moron and bad boy thing? Really?"

"Really. Good girls love the bad boys," Xavier smirked.

"Oh I'm sure."

"It's true ya know!" A voice volunteered.

My head turned to see Cole, Brandon, and Carlie standing there. It was Carlie who said it and I mentally face palmed.

"See? Just like with the Vampire Diaries. Damon got Elena," Xavier said.

Everyone went dead silent until Brandon started cracking up.

"Y-you watch The Vampire D-dia-aries?!"

Xander burst out laughing and soon Cole and Carlie joined in. I expected to see Xavier looking embarrassed but instead he looked as smug as ever.

"Point is, I will always win."

Xander sighed and brushed off his twin's cocky comment. He took my hands in his and the shocks I felt were exhilarating.

"Skylar, amour, my darling, my sweet-"

"Oh good grief cut the crap!" Xavier snapped.

Xander shot him a glare then turned back to me. "Please choose soon. You need time I understand. We will all be leaving now so you can take some time to gather your thoughts. Okay?"

I nodded and blushed wildly as his lips touched my hand. His eyes met mine and we were locked on to eachother.

But Xavier had other ideas and yanked Xander away. "Let's go."

Xander sighed irritably and let his twin drag him off.

"Bye guys!" Carlie called, skipping off after the two, dragging along a whining Brandon who obviously wanted to stay.

After the group walked off it was left to be just Cole and I. He sat on the ground beside me.

"Damn. You're in quite the pickle."

Yeah. No kidding.

Hey guys! I suffered from mega writing block! I wanna know what you all wanna see. Any ideas? I'm hoping my next update will be out by the end of the month. School has been keeping me busy. I'm working on another book, just to kinda write when I get writers block for this one.
