Time crawled by slowly until the time had come. The day in which I was to be married to a stranger. The day was beautiful and the weather was perfect, a complete contrast to how I was feeling.

A flurry of maids rushed into my room to begin preparing me for the wedding. I pulled the covers over my head and willed them to go away, but harsh reality hit me as they yanked me out of bed and began their work. I was quickly stripped naked and pushed into a bath. My mind went numb and I let the maids do as they wished. It wasn't until they tried to put me into a white kimono that I woke up mentally.

"What are you doing?!" I screeched as I yanked off the bulky fabric.

"Please miss, this is what you are to be married in." One of the maids sighed as she tried to clothe me.

"Like hell I will!" I ran to my closet and tried to find the special dress that I had owned for my whole life. When I could not find it my anger boiled over. I knew what had happened, someone had taken it.

"Where is it?" I seethed. "Where is the white dress with the single gold brooche?"

The maids visibly paled and looked at each other nervously. Finally one stepped up and spoke.

"I took it and gave it to my sister. She needed a new work dress and you have plenty of them so I figured that you wouldn't notice. It was the plainest one of all your dresses so I don't know why you care so much."

I was so angry that I no longer felt angry, only a deep coldness that would destroy everything remained.

"Where does your sister work?"

"She works in the kitchen."

I turned to one of the other maids and told her to go and get the sister from the kitchen. The maid that had taken the dress didn't look sorry at all, in fact she seemed annoyed by the whole affair. After a few minutes the maid returned with the sister in tow. She walked in wearing my dress and wiped her hands on it, staining it with sauce.

"What is this about? I'm very busy preparing for the wedding feast."

"Take off the dress." I commanded. Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped.

"Excuse me?"

"Do it now." I growled. Fear began to bloom in her eyes.

"I'm not wearing anything underneath." She stammered.

"I will not repeat myself."

With a red face she slowly undid the laces and peeled the too tight dress off her. I snatched the dress from her and inspected it. The seems were stretched out and it was stained with various foods and sauces.

"Get out."

"But I'm not dressed. That was my only dress, I can't return to work without it."

I picked up a vase full of flowers and chucked it at her. It crashed against the wall next to her. Her body shook in fear as she realized I did not miss on purpose.

"GET OUT!" I screeched. She ran from the room as fast as she could, tears running  down her face.

"What are you doing?" The maid who took my dress sputtered. I turned and  slapped her. The sound of the slap echoed in the room. All of the maids looked at me in horror.

"Pack your bags and get out of here. If I ever see your face again I will scratch your eyes out." I hissed, poison lacing all of my words. Fear radiated from her as she nodded and ran. I dismissed all of the other maids and looked over my dress again. It was ruined beyond repair. I clutched it to my chest and sobbed.

"Mom, Mom, I'm so sorry."

Panama here, I've gotten over my writer's block and plan on updating more often. Wait until the next chapter to find out why Sindri went ballistic over the dress. Bye~
